Has anyone conceived when ovulating quite late?

I came off the mini pill in March, and since then my cycles have been really long.

In my last cycle, I didn’t ovulate until CD 64. I’m just wondering if anyone has conceived after ovulating this late in their cycle, and if you have any advice or experiences to share?

I’ve had some blood work done — my TSH was 3.74 (my doctor said it should ideally be around 2.5 for conception), and my prolactin was also high at 593. I’m getting both rechecked next week.

Hi! Mine weren't quite as long as you but I conceived by now 2 year old DS ovulating on CD30 and am now 5 weeks pregnant after ovulating on CD32! So definitely still possible with a longer cycle.

What helped my cycle length a bit (when I was TTC the first time a couple were around 54 days) was taking max dose of inositol. It could be coincidence too but both times I've conceived was the first month on vitex (stopping at ovulation). This is supposed to boost progesterone (although I'd previously had progesterone tested and it was at a high level).

I've definitely heard that about TSH levels (I think even under 2 is optimum).

People will probably chime in about weight/lifestyle but my cycles have been that long ever since they first started as a teenager, so sometimes it's just what they are. I'd had the blood tests and scans for PCOS but don't have it (and never had the traditional symptoms like acne, facial hair etc.)

Good luck!

Thank you so much and congratulations 💕 this gives me hope, I don’t have PCOS either but I think I’m going to give Myo Inositol ago I have just ordered some 🤞🏻

Hi! I feel your pain. It took ages to conceive my first, but I ovulated on CD69 and that baby stuck (and is now a wonderful child!) and my second I ovulated even later - CD92! So there is hope. Sending lots of baby dust your way

Oh, and I'm not overweight nor do I have PCOS

Sorry to jump on the post but what is Vitex? @Lgn90 x

@mrsplumfairy hi! It’s a supplement also called chasteberry which slightly reduces FSH and slightly boosts LH. Not recommended for PCOS as those who have that usually have high LH (but I knew from my blood tests that my LH was lower than my FSH). Not advised to take past ovulation
