Hi everyone,
I’m a bit early but I liked having people to chat to last cycle who were going through similar. It can feel isolating having nobody to talk to about it other than DH when it’s taking up your every thought.

CD5 for me today. Will start uploading LH strips to Premom from CD 10.

Going to try the ‘sperm meets egg’ method this month to see if a bit of structure helps.

sending everybody lots of luck!

This looks great, congrats 🥳 my line is probably weaker than my afternoon one, but at least it’s still there this morning! Hopefully by tomorrow (11dpo) it’s a little darker.

I think that's still ok😊I checked back my tests from dd and I also had some fluctuation in the first days

Anya23 · 22/10/2025 06:08

How are you @Andrasa?
I'm driving myself crazy, I think my lines aren't getting any darker, and today's test looks kind of the same as the afternoon one from two days ago 😞 I'll wait for it to dry completely, as all of them were lighter before drying but I think it should be at least a bit darker by now..

No AF yet. But still experiencing a lot of AF symptoms. Wondering whether to test or hold off x

bellaflower · 22/10/2025 08:07

I got light pink spotting yesterday evening but still bfn here. Don’t think it’s my cycle

Moosey898 · 22/10/2025 08:11

For those of us earlier in our cycles, I finally got a flashing smiley face today! Thank god, was starting to get worried for a bit there... So should ovulate in a few days (guess I'll be moving on to the November board for the outcome!). Not expecting it to work this month anyway as it's our first month TTC since losing our little girl.

Doodlestar · 22/10/2025 08:21

I've had a couple of days of unusual spotting since Sunday, but my period is definitely properly stared now, so I'm out. Unsurprising as I never managed to work out an ovulation date for this month. I'll take BBT properly next cycle as well as ovulation tests.

Has anyone had very early ovulation, like before day 7 or 8? (26-28 day cycles normal for me). Not sure if I need to test earlier, test twice a day or what ?!

Mine are really similar, I’m not sure I can see a massive difference between now and two days ago, although I have seen a lot of people say the easy@home tests I’m using are terrible for line progression. And like you I’m convinced mine do dry a fair bit darker.

did a Clearblue early test I bought before I saw how much everyone hates the blue dye tests, that went positive within about thirty seconds though so gives me some confidence! And also relieved my lines aren’t super dark early as I really really wouldn’t want twins.

will wait for pink test to dry and then see if I can notice any change from yesterday. Feels weird since I have zero symptoms still, just the standard af due in a few days light cramping.

Fingers crossed for you @Andrasa!
I'm not using ic anymore because they are a lot lighter than the other ones, even though they're the same sensitivity
I still have lower back ache which I'm taking as a good sign for now, as it's not a typical pms sign for me
We'll see what tomorrow brings, I'm still only 13 DPO, with my dd I had the first stronger line around 15 dpo

Also, just did a digital and it's also positive, it's less sensitive than the frer

I skipped comparing to yesterdays and did to the day before, and it is significantly darker so I think realistic with the hcg doubling every two days. Not gonna bother testing again now until after my period is missed (sun-mon ish?) in hopes I get a much stronger line then and no worries.

I’m off abroad next week until middle of November so might register early to get an appointment booked in as won’t be able to take any calls etc. not sure if anyone has experience with what happens if you do it early and then have a chemical/early miscarriage? Ours seems to be a self refer so no gp to discuss with.

Yeah, compared to two days ago, mine is also darker, also did an ic (lol) and even though it's fainter than the frer, it's getting darker with each day

Unfortunately I don't know, as I'm outside the UK

I've had a miscarriage twice after self referring - you just drop them a message and cancel, super simple. Hopefully won't be the case for you.
I've also referred super late (due to multiple losses and I got bored/sad of cancelling) and still got seen for my booking appointment and 12 week scan with no issues. Didn't self refer until around 10 weeks.

sorry to hear about your miscarriages, but thank you for the information. Hopefully you’ve had some success now/will have some soon.

Sadly no success yet - actually got worse with my latest pregnancy as I lost my little girl at 22 weeks (doctors had to induce and deliver her because I had an infection they were worried would threaten my life) so we're back to the drawing board. Feels like I'm an expert at conception now, just yet to have a baby survive! Hopefully the next one will be the one that does (would be my 6th pregnancy if/when it happens) xx

Oh no! How heartbreaking. Sounds like really bad luck too 😔 my sister had some late term miscarriages too (18-20 weeks) so I saw how awful it was for her. She just kept trying and has multiple children now but I know she got a lot of counselling for it. Fingers crossed for you!

CatLady1994 · 22/10/2025 14:45

Hey all, checking in for this cycle, I'm on CD8 today. I think this is cycle 5 of 'properly trying' for baby 2. Based on my usual tracking I think I'll be at peak on CD12 (Sunday) My parents are staying over this weekend, which is annoying timing-wise, as always feel awkward DTD when we have guests in the house - anyone else like this or am I just being weird?

Feeling a bit low this cycle, with DC1 we got a BFP on our second cycle of trying, and then with my miscarriage last year, my BFP was on the 4th try. So feel a bit like I'm in unknown territory now. I know in reality I'm being silly and 5 cycles is still well within normal range and 'quick' compared to others!

GimmieABreakOr3 · 22/10/2025 16:19

I took a test today and got a BFN. 😢
Feeling a bit gutted as my boobs have been more sore than normal and AF hasn’t arrived yet. Ah well.

bellaflower · 22/10/2025 17:07

AF arrived. Now onto cycle 5. feeling pretty gutted about it and thought this month was it as had lots of chances. Oh well.

@CatLady1994i had similar with my mother in law staying for weekend - so I blame her this time haha. I feel awkward but my plan was to make sure she drank a lot of wine before bed so slept well haha

@GimmieABreakOr3feeling your pain with the negatives. Hopefully still got a chance as your AF hasn’t arrived yet!

MountainMummy95 · 22/10/2025 19:04

@bellaflower I am sorry to hear this. I am 6dpo on cycle 4 and I know if I get negatives this time I will be absolutely gutted. Allow yourself time to grieve it, get some chocolate, maybe a bath, and then see this as a fresh start and a new chance 😊

Hello everyone! 👋 I'm joining after a break (have had 2 MCs and a chemical since starting to TTC my 2nd)

Had a scan today to confirm my 2nd MC is complete. Loss happenend in August. I'm also currently ovulating so I'm excited to try again (and terrified, because of the losses..). We've DTD once in the past few days and I'm hoping we will again tonight. Not a lot of BD'ing but I am lucky that all my conceptions have happened quickly. The stressful bit isn't TTC for us, but staying pregnant! We have a beautiful 3 year old that we never had any issues trying for😌 I want nothing more than to give him a sibling😔

Welcome! I'm so sorry for your losses. I've had multiple losses and know how difficult TTC after loss can be. We're on a similar timescale, I'm CD12 and should ovulate in about 4 days. This is our first cycle back TTC after we lost our little girl at 22 weeks at the start of September x
