Conception cup - how to use

Sorry this is a bit graphic….

So I bought a conception cup and I’m struggling to use it. I wonder if anyone has used this and can offer any advice?

Does it need to go in right by the cervix because to be honest I don’t know where mine is and I certainly can’t reach it?

It’s also quite big and I can’t imagine my insides are actually as wide as the diameter of the cup, this means it got all squished and was inserted on its side, so when it was in there it was on its side, I can’t imagine that would be very effective?

And as for pulling the cord and getting it into a cup shape again, well it was impossible??

Has anyone used this and can offer me any advice?

The main reason I need it is because I’m happy to have my legs in the air for ages but because I keep getting UTIs I need to go to the toilet pretty much immediately after DTD and some of his swimmers end up going down the toilet.

@Confused3456 What's a conception cup?? Regards you losing some swimmers after dtd.....there are roughly 5 million sperm in every ejaculation. A few going down the loo won't make a difference. It only takes one to do the deed

Thanks it’s basically after we got the results of my husbands sperm count I thought I’d better do everything I can’t to make sure I keep as much of it up there as possible if you see what I mean

@Confused3456 I understand. I found legs up against the wall helpful 🤗

I use a conception cup (I must state that it hasn’t made any difference so far, we’ve tried it for about 6 cycles out of 15 ttc so I am very sceptical. I do keep using it in case there’s a chance it makes a tiny difference). The only way to really get to grips with it is lots of practice. It took me a while to get the hang of it. Push it as far as it will go. I struggled with pulling the cord to turn it the right way up but with practice it does work—you have to make sure you hold it really firmly in place with one hand while pulling with the other. Once you’ve got the hang of it you’ll find it’s full of sperm when you take it out. Good luck!

That is helpful thank you, I was just pulling at the cord without holding it in place, I will try holding it.

How do you make sure it’s not on its side, mine seems to be doing that?
