That sounds so incredibly tough @ForGiddyDreamer she can encourage you to look for the positives all she wants and not to over analyse symptoms but your past experience always pulls you back there. Sometimes I think our brains trick us into thinking “if I just see it coming or if I can predict it, it won’t hurt as much” but it’s not really the case, it hurts just as bad whether we’ve been really anxious or not, sometimes that’s helped me force myself into not obsessing over things a little- not sure I’m making sense!

rainycoldboo · 05/08/2025 16:59

Wishing you all the luck in the world @ForGiddyDreamerfingers crossed for stickiness

ForGiddyDreamer · 05/08/2025 17:12

You're making sense @DoubleDandelion DPs dad has been transferred to palliative so I can't keep dumping on him either about it. Have to pull my big pants up and put a face on for him. Just have to accept I can do no more and it's in Friday's hands now.

Thanks @rainycoldboo

SureLook · 05/08/2025 19:43

@HayleyD84 hello and welcome! Sorry to hear of your loss ❤️

@DoubleDandelion I'd second what rainy said, go by your luteal phase length.

@ForGiddyDreamer I'm sorry about your previous experience. In my hospital you have to walk through the midwife clinic to get to the EPU. Why is it designed like that?? It should be it's own separate building entirely!
Did the fertility clinic call you back? That's great that you got put on aspirin and progesterone.
Sorry to hear about DPs Dad. You've a lot going on x

@rainycoldboo could you say you've got something important in work next week that you've to be on the ball for?

@amey44 sorry you're feeling down. Do what's best for you x

HayleyD84 · 05/08/2025 20:20

@ForGiddyDreamerbest of luck for Friday 🤞🏻

HayleyD84 · 05/08/2025 20:22

I'm due on between today and Thursday (26-28CD)
tested this morning and bfn so rekon I'm out this month.

I'll be away when I'm ovulating sharing a room with the kids so don't think we are going to get a chance next month either 😫

Esssa · 05/08/2025 20:36

Congratulations @FarAwayBird @DoubleDandelion unfortunately I can't make it a trifecta with you. Temp dropped at 7dpo and kept falling. Cd1 today. Feeling miffed because we put all the efforts in this month. Hmph.

DoubleDandelion · 05/08/2025 20:47

@ForGiddyDreamer got everything crossed for Friday! So sorry to hear about DPs Dad, you’ve always got us here to offload to. Sometimes anonymous strangers on the internet might be exactly what you need.

@Esssa oh I’m so sorry to hear, that’s so frustrating 😫 The absolute best of luck with the next cycle 🤞🏻

Thanks @SureLook going to be a big girl and self refer into the midwife service on Tues. Thank you for always taking the time to give advice, how are you doing?

rainycoldboo · 05/08/2025 21:20

@SureLookthere def the sort of people who won’t buy that 😂😂

SureLook · 05/08/2025 21:50

@HayleyD84 ah, that's annoying. DP works shift now since our loss so timing DTD is trickier now! Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

@Esssa sorry to hear AF has arrived. It's disheartening when you've done everything. Sending hugs ❤️

@DoubleDandelion sounds like a plan! You're welcome 😊 I'm good thanks. I think I had my peak overnight but of course I've ran out of LH strips 🙃 more coming tomorrow so I'll test again then. We DTD yesterday and will again tonight so hopefully we're covered 🤞🏻

@rainycoldboo oh really 🙈 will they be suspicious straight away??

rainycoldboo · 05/08/2025 21:54

Good luck referring @DoubleDandelionand sorry to hear this month hasn’t worked out for you @Esssaxx

@SureLook💯!! MIL will be suspicious as soon as I turn up pretty much, last time we were up there she said something just in my earshot about ‘not long until sure is up the duff’ or words to that effect….!

overwork · 05/08/2025 22:24

I wonder if the AI that has mysteriously joined the chat is also TTC?
Anyone know what happens if you don’t ovulate in a cycle? I don’t test so I’ll never be sure, but I was ill over expected ovulation time this month (I think Covid but I didn’t test). I did wonder if it might mess with my cycle. Everything is pointing towards my period coming but I’m now several days late. Generally quite regular. Definitely not pregnant as couldn’t have sex at the right time as I really wasn’t well enough. So now I’m wondering if being ill could have delayed ovulation and therefore delayed my period? Or maybe I didn’t ovulate at all. And now I’ve typed all this out, what’s the bet that my period will arrive tomorrow!

SureLook · 05/08/2025 23:11

@rainycoldboo oh god. When will people ever learn to just keep their mouths shut?! Could you put zero wine into a normal wine bottle and make sure you or DP get the drinks?

@overwork what is with that AI thing??
I don't really know what happens if you don't ovulate. If you ovulated later is there still a chance? Have you taken a test at all?

EmPeEf · 06/08/2025 00:14

I’m feeling hopeless. CD10 going into 11 if I take the first day of chemical bleeding as CD1, and my OV are pathetic, just like during the month after my first chemical.
I’ve had EWCM over the last two days, but I’m having to manually adjust the tests in Premom to get these scores, as it’s registering so many close to, or actually zero.

My temperature also shot up today to above my old cover lines. Just weird.

On top of that I’m hugely bloated. I’ve put on a ton of weight over the last two weeks, have horrible cramps, and my stomach is a balloon. I have no idea what’s going on and I feel like giving up if every month after a chemical pregnancy means I’m out then as well. As I didn’t record an OV last time and I don’t think I will this time either.

@SureLookgood idea! I’ll see what partner thinks - it’s his mum after all!

@EmPeEfso sorry to read how you’re feeling - apologies if you’ve already said but how’s your general health etc?

EmPeEf · 06/08/2025 04:34

A mixture. Hyper mobility syndrome and fibromyalgia. Hypothyroidism. Autism and ADHD so my sleep is pretty terrible. Both fatigue and insomnia 😅 Gluten intolerance. BMI is 33 currently but my diet isn’t too bad. Protein, rice, veg and fruit. Just too many Galaxy Minstrels lol. I take multivitamins every day. I’m old though. 40.

rainycoldboo · 06/08/2025 04:42

im Awake too @EmPeEfbeen up to pee at 2.30 every morning the last 3 nights and not back to sleep! Have you had bloods at the GP?

im Awake too @EmPeEfbeen up to pee at 2.30 every morning the last 3 nights and not back to sleep! Have you had bloods at the GP?

I’ve had bloods taken within the last 10 months for other reasons before TTC, and everything was fine. I have a blood test booked with my GP to check my thyroid meds are enough, but it’s not till the 10th Sept. I’d like to know if I’m just within the NHS normal range but not optimal for TTC. My partner mentioned about talking to an endo privately if so.

I’m hoping I’ll just OV a bit later this month and can still try. The next birthday is looming ever closer!

rainycoldboo · 06/08/2025 05:18

Wishing you lots of luck ‘
@EmPeEf

overwork · 06/08/2025 06:33

@SureLookdefinitely definitely not, I was in bed for 5 days and then the next 5 days I could just about function to work and parent but I was wiped out from that. Then we had family staying so it wasn’t really conducive to having any time alone! So unless I ovulated 2 weeks late, which would have been at the weekend, I really can’t be pregnant. I think I’m hugely overthinking, because I’d just like to get this period over with and try again next month!

ChaE05 · 06/08/2025 06:36

@ForGiddyDreamerhow are you feeling? I'm so pleased the GP has prescribed you the progesterone and asprin and taking your bloods. I'm keeping everything crossed for you! And also sorry about DPs dad. Really is alot going on. Sending hugs xx

@EmPeEfsorry, this must be so frustrating for you not knowing what is going on! These chemicals can really mess with your cycle hey. I'm assuming you are wanting to try this month? I would just dtd every other day and then you are covered if you do ovulate x

YKM2829 · 06/08/2025 07:23

ForGiddyDreamer · 05/08/2025 16:24

My update: did a blood draw and I am back on Thursday for another. A doctor saw me and put me on aspirin and progesterone. We'll know when the second draw comes back on Friday what's going on.

Good to see everyone's BFPs progressing nicely. Fingers crossed for sticky beans all round!

So so glad you got seen at least, fingers crossed for everything. 🤞Xxx

This is the exact reason I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and my doc told me they don't prescribe progestrone in the UK for this issue and sent me home and I had a miscarriage about 4 or 5 days after.
Im so tempted to start saving up and go privately just for even normal care let alone all this stuff as it leaves you in such a shitry position when your doctor surgery is useless 😑😑

ChaE05 · 06/08/2025 07:26

AF has arrived 2 days early 😳 has anyone had that before? Already had a luteal phase on the shorter side so makes it really short! Hope it's a one off.

Onto cycle 10 😒

SureLook · 06/08/2025 07:55

@EmPeEf has this only happened after you've had a chemical? I'd say the bloating and cramps etc is all hormones. I wouldn't say you've truly gained that much weight.

@rainycoldboo yeah, exactly. Get him involved and get him to shut anything down!

@overwork ok, that definitely doesn't line up then. Hopefully AF will show up soon 🤞🏻

@YKM2829 it's so frustrating that there's no consistency. It's pot luck it would seem!

@ChaE05 sorry to hear. I wasn't tracking properly but my luteal phase was definitely shorter post loss. I then conceived on cycle #3 so I think it was just settling.

rainycoldboo · 06/08/2025 08:17

Thanks @SureLookI think I will! 😂
