@MummySam2017 fair play to you. I try to hold out until 12dpo. Early testing destroyed me! Thanks for the well wishes. I'm 37 with a two and a half year old DD. Two losses in a row. Just finished my first period post loss and gonna start LH testing this week. What's your story?

Wishing you all the best my luv and sorry to hear about your losses. I’m 35, 2 dc and we have been trying for around a year. I think this is the first month I’m confident I won’t do an early test, because it devastates me and has been a big waste of money! I can’t really talk to anyone in real life anymore, I feel so much pressure and disappointment, so I’ve told everyone we’re not trying anymore. It’s nice to have a space to talk 🫶🏻

Hey everyone.

Just an update, Af arrived for me yesterday so officially in cycle 3. Going to try and BBT this time, tried last cycle and failed 🙈 Disappointed im back to the start but DH is taking me to a festival next weekend so I'll get to drink my disappointment away 🤣

Also I set up a little WhatsApp for those TTC after a loss if there's anyone in here that would be interested

Sending baby dust to all ❤️

amey44 · 27/07/2025 12:47

Hey just wondering if anyone has had sharp cramping and gone on to get a bfp? I’m still bfn which is honestly just so depressing at this point but i’ve had sharp cramps in my pelvic/hips area since yesterday which i’ve not had before

EmPeEf · 27/07/2025 13:15

3 negative tests including the strip brand I got the positive on on Wednesday. Really thought this time would be different.

ChaE05 · 27/07/2025 13:33

@NatalieSFsorry to hear AF has arrived 😔 hate her. Lovely that you have a festival to look forward to! My positive each cycle is that I get another month fitting in my jeans 😅🤣
Would love to be part of the WhatsApp group 🩷

@EmPeEfI'm sorry 😔 just seems to cruel x

It’s hard to keep up, what DPO is everyone? How many more BFPs are we waiting for? Currently 9 DPO, not feeling any huge desire to early test tbh, think I’ll be wait until 13/ 14 DPO.

ForGiddyDreamer · 27/07/2025 17:24

@EmPeEf I'm so sorry and I empathise with how frustrated you feel.

@amey44 with my Feb pregnancy I definitely felt a sharp twinge that was like three plucks when I was around 11dpo. I believe that was implantation. I got a BFP around 16dpo when I tested.

Thanks @SureLook He is very up and down. We'll see what vet thinks tomorrow.

@NiftySheep I'm about 5dpo I think. Had a lot of stress during my fertile window and we only managed to dtd twice so I'm not holding out much hope this month. We also have visitors coming next week to stay for a long weekend so I might put off testing. According to my app AF is due 5 August which is the day they leave.

DorsetGirl89 · 27/07/2025 18:21

Hi all, been away for the weekend and just catching up!

@EmPeEf I'm so sorry 😞 it's heartbreaking watching the tests go negative after a positive and waiting for the inevitable 😩 I think I was deep down somewhere still holding out a little hope myself until I started bleeding this morning, it's hard not to I know, even when you know it doesn't make sense. Sending you an enormous hug ❤️

@MummySam2017 I'm so sorry you don't have anyone you can talk to, but I am glad you've got us! It's so hard isn't it, the only people that understand are the women who have been through the mill with it themselves 😔

@amey44 this could be late implantation, it's an unusual time of month to get cramps if you don't normally as you're not due AF for a week or so are you? I can't quite remember, I think you said you had long cycles. I hope it is! Remember that if it is implantation you might not get a positive test for 2 or 3 days after so try to stay positive.

I'll have a proper catch up later in case I've missed anyone's updates!

@ForGiddyDreamer hope your doggo is ok! 🙏🏻❤️🐾

Tw

So the bfp I did last Thursday turned out to be solid. Did a digital on Monday said pregnant 1 to 2 weeks. Had cramping and spotting the whole time. By Tuesday pain and bleeding worse. With all my tests looking the same each day not getting darker I knew something was wrong. I could just tell it didn't feel right. Ended up doing 2x test Wednesday and yesterday BFN both times. Hospital yesterday as pain in left side from previous ectopic was agonising 30mg codeine didn't help, confirmed miscarriage. Had ultrasound and everything looks healthy ovary wise. No cysts. Remaining right tube looks healthy womb looks healthy. Hcg was 2 by time discharge.

Funnily enough wednesday went to doctors about the bleeding. And it was a duty doctor and she down right refused to send me for any sort of blood test for low progesterone even though I gave her all my history and symptoms. Short luteal phase as well as other symptoms. Denied the UK giving progestrone for bleeding during early pregnancy, or just at all... Doesn't make sense.
Denied to acknlowdhe that progestrone helps with thickening of uterus lining and egg Implantation. Stating that even if progestrone is low it rises during pregnancy but couldn't understand the logic of but if its so low during Implantation it still might not rise quick enough.
Basically just fobbed me off. Even with my bleeding cramps and history just said wait for midwife app at 12 weeks.
Even though hospital said because this is second time miscarriage and with ectopic in January all with bleeding from the start of implantation through, next time, I'd have to go for tests if I was bleeding, as soon as bfp, to see if progestrone is low.........
Bad experience there.
But early pregnancy unit was amazing same as last time.
Very deflating x

@YKM2829 I'm so sorry, this is an awful experience to go through at the best of times, let alone with a so called medical professional making this so much worse! I really hope you're ok and have had a chance to relax and release the emotions this weekend 😩❤️💫

Yeah I still have 5-7 days before expected af although i’m supposedly 10dpo so thought id see something by now x

ForGiddyDreamer · 27/07/2025 20:20

@amey44 the most common implantation is said to be 9/10 dpo so you're still so early on. As I said before, I didn't feel what I am sure was implantation until 11dpo. I had implantation bleeding at around 13dpo that I just assumed was the start of AF. We see so many folks on here with vvvvfl early on but it's really not that common. At the moment, you're still in it!

EmPeEf · 27/07/2025 21:54

I read yesterday that after carrying out studies, maternal age has no impact on chemical pregnancies, only other types of miscarriage. So people with multiple chemicals have just been really unlucky, not doomed for it to happen constantly.

hollyhocks2 · 27/07/2025 22:41

@EmPeEf I'm really sorry 😔 agree it is likely to be 'just bad luck' but there's no 'just' about it, it's crushing.

Pregnancy announcements among my friends coming thick and fast. It's of course much easier to hear when I am also nurturing a (very very early) pregnancy of my own but it also puts a little extra pressure on this pregnancy to make it, because I know that if it doesn't, I will find it extra poignant when the babies of my friends arrive. I'm just not counting my chickens, I feel it could go either way. I'm simultaneously desperate to believe it will work out and also determined not to get attached to the idea that it will. It's pretty exhausting. Like pulling myself back every time I dare to have a happy daydream, and forcing myself to remember that some studies suggest up to 50% of pregnancies end in a chemical.

@EmPeEf that is reassuring about age and chemicals. I think we just find out about chemicals more now, with early tests and the internet and cycle tracking tech.

SureLook · 28/07/2025 10:00

@MummySam2017 thank you and to you too! Did it take you long to conceive your two DC? I know, its great having this space for support and to vent.

@amey44 sorry, I've not experienced that lovey. You're still early though.

@EmPeEf I'm so sorry. I hope you're doing OK. Sending hugs ❤️

@hollyhocks2 it's so hard isn't it? Try and focus on that you are pregnant now and take it one day at a time x

hollyhocks2 · 28/07/2025 10:19

Thanks @SureLook one day at a time, definitely. How are you feeling? Are you going to try again this cycle or skip a cycle or two?

SureLook · 28/07/2025 10:39

@hollyhocks2 I'm not too bad, thanks. My period finished on Friday so we are gonna start TTC again this cycle. I'm at home today with a bit of a hangover after being at a music festival yesterday. It was good for the soul. I'll start LH strips today.

overwork · 28/07/2025 11:20

Oh @EmPeEfI’m so sorry. Seeing your positives always gives me hope (sorry if I’ve aged you but I think we’re a similar age), and it’s cruel for it to not stick again.
It’s feeling like a very long month for me, I was so poorly during my fertile time, there was no way I could have tried, so it will have been 2 months for me by the time we next have a shot at it.
We waited a while to start trying due to various factors so I’m not sure why waiting one more month has bothered me.
I found my old Natural Cycles thermometer by chance the other day, so I’ve signed up for a year of that. Last time we were using it was to prevent a pregnancy, but it didn’t work for us, hence my little boy! Hopefully it will work for us this time but as an aid to getting pregnant!

I got a faint line on a one step this afternoon but i’m unsure if the second line is in the right place or if it's just dye run? Unsure if anyone will be able to see it as I have to zoom in

@amey44 I think I see a shadow but I am not 100%. I searched for other posts with these tests and there's a thread here from someone who used these tests and wasn't sure of the result. She was indeed pregnant. You might want to compare your test to the photos on the post? https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5041890-please-help-one-step-pregnancy-tests

Hi @amey44 I see a line I think. I remember these tests, the lines are further apart than others so I think the shadow I see is in the correct place 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

amey44 · 28/07/2025 20:41

Thanks guys i’m quite cautious with these tests but this batch hasn’t had even a smidge of a line yet apart from this so i’m hopeful! :)
