AMH LEVELS

Hi All

I am 34 years old and have just received my fertility testing blood results back from a private firm. It has come back with everything in the normal range, testosterone slightly higher but alongside of everything else this is okay. My AMH levels are slightly on the lower end in line with my age at 5.38
pmol/L.

Has anyone experienced this and can share success stories of being able to conceive please.

thanks

Your AMH levels are only really relevant if you go down the IVF route. For natural conception, you will continue to be ovulating one egg a month (assuming you’ve established that you’re ovulating) so it makes no difference in the short to medium term.

For IVF it could mean fewer eggs can be retrieved, but plenty of people have had successful IVF with lower AMH. If you go down that route you can discuss with your team what they'd recommend to maximise your chances. The only thing to be aware of is that AMH can fall quite quickly from the mid-30s so if you are considering IVF, just to take that into consideration in terms of timelines.
