Hi, me and my partner are trying to conceive baby number 2 (my second his first) And my partner drinks alot of monster sometimes he’ll have one or 2 a day but could be up to 6 a day I honestly don’t know how he does it but drinks the stuff like water 🤣 I’m in 2 week wait currently and wondering if anyone has conceived with their partners had drunk loads of caffeine?

I’ve got no idea, but drinking up to six cans a day can’t be good for your health, especially your heart - all that caffeine and sugar.

My best friends partner lives off monster and they conceived without any issue and are now due next week. Fingers crossed for you!

Don’t you find that really off-putting? I wouldn’t try to conceive with somebody who has so little regard for their health. I’m sure you’ll manage to get pregnant but he’ll fuck his heart and end up with a catheter when his kidneys fail.

I think seeing a fertility specialist — both for you and your partner — is the best option to truly understand your situation, as the cause could be anything. I’m not an expert, but MyIVFAnswers often shares new research on infertility (like recent findings on oxygen deprivation in sperm). From what I’ve read, certain drinks might have an impact on sperm quality.

If I were you I would be having second thoughts about having a baby with a man with such dreadful dietary habits. I would want the father of my child to have a healthy lifestyle and good genetics. Think of your future baby.

Whoa, up to six a day is outrageously bad for you. He’s at real risk. That many can be fatal. At least one person a year dies.
8 would be enough to cause seizures and he’s really close to that. He’s also at a high risk of true dehydration (a lack of essential electrolytes), and a lack of potassium for example will cause a heart attack. Not to mention even the sugar free ones will cause insulin to be released so diabetes and insulin resistance are a concern.

He’s probably not going to listen to women on the internet though, so I recommend you find a way for you both to see a GP about “how to get healthy to conceive” and drop it in conversation. His overall health is way more important then whether it affects his sperm on not (it does.)
