It can be completely normal. And defiant could be since ttc you're noticing more. I spot some months before af and it send me crazy cos I think it's implantation bleeding lol. I had a copper coil and irregular periods and would spot randomly all the time then and when I had both types of the pill. Especially the one you take continously with no break I'd have maybe light spotting at a time I would know of I wasn't taking the pill my period would be due.

Sometimes spotting can be implantation and again completely normal.

From my experience, I'd get spotting checked out if it's accompanied by severe pain. I have painful periods I need codeine for but the pain from implantation right through till surgery for my ectopic was way worse now I look back I think I should have queried earlier due to the pain along side spotting.

I don't mean cramps though. I also get cramps during ovulation and ovbs period and spotting with cramps for me is normal.

I had a wee phone appointment with my GP who was incredible. I am due my smear so she is getting a gp to do it and have a wee look for other things too. It was nice to have a doctor take it seriously as I was so worried they were going fob me off as I haven’t been trying for too long but of course my overthinking mind is saying there is something wrong with me.
i done a test this morning Incase it was implantation bleeding still BFN but it’s still early on but I just know my AF is en route ready to cause havoc. Hope you are getting on ok and sending baby dust ✨🩷

@megan345@FlyHighSky72, my mindset is that I’d rather be delusional for longer as if it turns out I’m not pregnant, the wait until next cycle/ovulation is shorter.

it feels soooo long when you know you’re out but you have to wait ages to try again

@bigbird1234think that’s how I feel this month! If I test early then I’m like ‘oh maybe it’s just too early to see’ whereas I feel like by 12dpo I’ll either see something or I won’t and then it’ll be only 3 ish days until AF appears and def confirms it!!

@Sdjmomg I have literally come on to ask the same thing! How odd. So I was expecting AF yesterday. Had quite a bit of bleeding Tuesday morning when I went to toilet then nothing all day. The same yesterday morning! And barely anything today. Had a couple of little clots when I wipe. Last month I had full flow from first day. No spotting. The month before I had 2 days spotting then period.
Problem is I have blood tests booked in tomorrow that need to be taken between days 1-4 of my cycle. I just don't even know if this is a period or not !! I'm definitely not pregnant. But I don't know why AF is taking so long.

Honestly it’s so so strange isn’t it. Have you experienced spotting before trying to conceive? I had the most boring regular cycles until I have been trying and now they are winding me up something rotten 😂 my doctor said something about hormones settling and stuff. She booked me in for smear with doctor as I am due one and they will check other things as well but says if I wasn’t due one she would just tell me to wait a few more months as she is not worried. I would log it as spotting then when you notice a more consistent flow mark it down as period. It’s so strange and messes with your mind so I am sending lots of love. If I get any update at docs when I am in next week I will update this incase she gives me more info as to why this stuff happens 😂🩷

Thank you guys! I can't believe it... i wasn't at all hopeful this cycle as I've been really ill with the flu and a sinus infection, so we only managed to DTD once! Clearly once is all it takes 😆
