37/F never been pregnant

Married end of last year - wanted to get finances, job, home sorted until TTC beginning of this year
regular cycle 28/3
Tried January, April with BFN’s and this month went all out with ovulation tracking and conception cup with pre-seed! My partner suffers terribly with ED and has to use all means possible to maintain an erection, we were lucky this month and he managed by some stroke of luck (and viagra) three times this cycle in close succession.

Currently would be around day 5 DPO. DTD day 10, LH spike on day 11 evening (earlier than I thought) and day 12 AM, DTD day 11 (no full ejaculation) DTD day 12
I take folic acid and supplements (been taking since my 20’s 🤣)

Think I am going crazy -
Symptom spotting like mad. Increased thirst, constipation, currently feels like period pains low grade like about to have a period - have a hot water bottle on. Sneezing all the time with runny nose / mild cold symptoms. So thirsty!

Husband fully convinced I am pregnant as never complained of all of these symptoms before - I also usually have inverted nipples (come out in the cold / swimming) which are now non inverted and painful!

Have been reading so many ‘Symptoms
4 day DPO’ google blogs and just want a bit of support really. Tried to speak to a girlfriend about it all last Thursday - she has four boy children aged 10-4 who she is very busy with and never had an issue with TTC so was less than sympathetic in my neurosis about it all. My husband was quite annoyed that she shot me down when I was asking for advice. My other girlfriends are happily single in their last 30’s with no interest in TTC and have never been pregnant so although they can listen, I think they think I am going a bit mad!

I do not want to test until AF is due on 4th June!

Anyone else on the same time line as me?

Really great that you’ve got support from your sister to lean into 💚 I’m just meditating on the idea that I’ve done all that I can, now I can just focus on little fun things, some gardening, work, and then testing day will come 🙏 It’s still easier said than done! 😭 haha, but it’s all very new and I’m learning 🧘
And if I need some more support I will be posting my thoughts on this thread as it’s helpful too!

When is AF due for you @Luckycatlady?
You’ve got this TWW 💪

Its 4th June ! So not too long
Felt a bit lightheaded today, sore boobs continue and random sneezing. Associated with ongoing mild pelvic cramps.

my calculations I think have been a bit off and I think I am actually 7-8 days DPO
period like cramping this AM with brown DC on wiping this AM

Is this a good sign?

@Luckycatlady Ah could be implantation bleeding. Maybe try testing in the next day or two x

BB3Hopefully · 29/05/2025 10:36

@Luckycatlady could be implantation but I don't think that's as common as it appears here, only around 25% of people will get implantation spotting. Everything you're describing could be a sign of implantation/conception, or could also be standard Luteal phase/progesterone symptoms. The wait is so hard! I'm currently 8/9DPO and testing negative, zero symptoms too so not feeling too hopeful this month!

I can honestly say I have never in my life had these symtoms during this phase
last month for my period i did not have any premenstrual symptoms and three days of moderate flow

if i am not pregnant i will be seriously concerned something is very wrong? could it be the preserd lube we used thats irritated the uterus or something as it feels like burning

i have never woken up overnight with cramps

@Luckycatladyit is so hard the not knowing and you’re doing well to have an awareness of your body currently. I’d say burning sensation rather than cramps doesn’t sound good - if you’re in real discomfort deffo get a GP appointment asap.

The other thing I can recommend is testing in a few days time and perhaps booking in something for yourself on the day you will test. So that you will also have something to look forward to. It’s so far working for me as a distraction, but I know we’re all different.
It could also be useful for you to note down your symptoms and test daily until your period is supposed to be due, as that may give you a ritual of logging data and something to look forward to each day.

But! Remember that you’ve already done all you can and the outcome will be the outcome. And from what you’ve written to date, you’ve done your best x

Wishing you lots of baby dust xxx

Ahhh I didn’t know only 25% see implantation bleeding - that is a lot less than I thought and deffo makes me feel better about not having seen any myself.
Deffo agree that progesterone symptoms are not anything I’ve paid attention to before and as such it has been amazing to notice the effects that the diff stages of the hormone cycle have on us. Our bodies are fascinating!
The wait is so so hard!!! Day 8/9 DPO is still v early so hopefully testing in a few days will yield some good insight for you too xxx

This is great advice

It feels like someone is building something down there honestly

as a reference to my lack of pre menstrual symptoms previously I have been known to think I have blood in my urine - only to realise its my period due to lack of cramping etc - which is why this 2ww is so odd

the spotting this morning was brown and very light

How are we all doing today? 😁

Luckycatlady · 30/05/2025 11:38

I have convinced myself I am not pregnant, been in tears to my husband and now I have convinced myself I am pregnant 🤣😭🥲

So not great 🤣
earliest I can test is Sunday

AF due next week (Wednesday)
Ongoing very light now pelvic cramping
I feel I am about to start my period any day now and keep looking when I am wiping for blood

how are you?

8DPO today. Foolishly did a test today knowing full well it would be clear!! Will wait until Sunday now. Have a busy day tomorrow thankfully so that will help me resist the urge to test! Not expecting anything this cycle. It’s #1.

@Luckycatlady Thank you.😊 I think that’s a good approach. I should try to do the same! It’s hard not to test though, even when you’re not expecting to see a line!

Luckycatlady · 30/05/2025 23:06

Honestly ive been researching it all like mad
i guess its all personal preference but i would rather miss my period and test and see a strong positive if it is a BFP than have the torture of the limbo period with mutiple negatives or a faint line resulting in a negative

knowing my personlaity know around the whole thing it is tending towards obsessive and i just dont know if havinf pregnancy tests around are good for me !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
