I’m not sure what countries everyone is in and therefore what kinds and brands of ovulation kits you have. I’m in Australia and I found the most success using the clear blue digital ovulation kit. It measures estrogen as well as LH and because it’s digital, I don’t have to obsess over faint lines on a strip. It’s very clear.
I found that peeing in a cup and dipping the test strip in works better than peeing on the strip.
I test once a day with the first wee of the morning.
This brand will tell you if you’re not ovulating, high fertility and peak fertility. High fertility is raised estrogen, peak fertility is the LH surge. So you might have more success with an ovulation kit that also tracks estrogen because some women’s LH surge is too low to be detected.
EWCM is the best way to know that your estrogen has risen and that LH is coming soon. As soon as you have the EWCM, get your partner in the bedroom regardless of what the stick says.
I get light spotting at the LH surge, which also helps but not every woman gets spotting.
my cycle is about every 26 to 28 days. I found that lifting weights three times a week makes my cycle more regular.
I have found that I ovulate earlier, at around day 12 so I start testing at day 8.
sometimes we don’t ovulate in a cycle and that’s ok, but if it happens a few times in a row then see a doctor.
I use the Apple health app to track my cycle as well as cervical mucus and symptoms, it’s a really helpful app. You can also track sexual activity too.
hope this helps! Keep testing, it’s all about learning about your body.
