TTC and changing jobs

Looking for some advice.
we are currently TTC, on cycle 3 and I’m 36.
I have seen a job that would be ideal for me long term and really want to apply.
only issue is I have to give 3 months notice so if I got pregnant this cycle I would be 16 weeks by the time I started.
the plan is to not “try” very hard, so not prevent but no OPKs etc. I don’t want to delay TTC because of my age but I also don’t want to start a new job on the wrong foot.
i just don’t know what is the right thing to do. WWYD?

Like @worldwidetravel2017 - I put off changing jobs for a while because of TTC....7 years and 4 miscarriages later, still trying! If it's a good opportunity, go for it. You don't want life to end up full of "what ifs".

Thank you ladies, it’s a good perspective to have and realistic to think it might not happen until after I have accepted a new job.
I just think the awkwardness of telling them will be awful haha. But that’s very much a what if and I’d probably really regret not applying if I didn’t conceive
good luck to both of you with TTC

I had this problem and didn’t apply for jobs as I was TTC. After a year I decided it was enough and I should start looking. Interviewed for a great job and found out I was pregnant a week later. I got the job offer at 9 weeks pregnant. I also had a 3 month notice period, handed in my notice at 12 weeks (it was over Xmas, and also delaying by 1 week meant I was eligible for SMP from my previous employer), and I told my new company after my 12 week scan as well. They were very supportive and even gave me a discretionary payment as I wasn’t entitled to enhanced maternity pay from them. I started work for them at 6 months pregnant and worked for 3 months before going off on maternity leave.

It definitely wasn’t ideal, but it is a much better job than I had before, and I had to think longer term so definitely the right thing to do. It can happen at any time so you should just go for the job! Best of luck!
