How early can I do a pregnancy test?

Can I just ask all you experts......how early in my cycle can I do a test? I have regular 28 day cycles. We are not TTC but DH just announced at breakfast that he thinks I'm pregnant (again) .Any particular brand of test that you would recommend? It needs to be one I can get in Boots or supermarket - cant wait to get one online. I'm now a bit anxious....well guess you know how it is????

I think that sounds reasonable rickman! I can't think of any pre Xmas events...I'm gona leave it until later in the month, see if the queasieness gets any worse....like I say will be complete accident if I am!

I might be Ok then Twiglett as I ovulate on day 10 (normally). But might be irregular because of the BF. Would you recommend First Reponse as well?

I liked the Boots test (not Boots digital) which worked 2 days before my period was due.

Arabica - can I assume that your going decaf means you are pregnant? Or are you just doing a healthy eating thing?

I did a First Response and Boots digital test at cd24 (28 day cycle). Was stunned to get a bfp! However, with dd didn't get a bfp until cd 29, one day late and know of others who haven't got a bfp until a week after af due. Suppose a lot depends on when you are ov in your cycle....good luck
