Hi
ttc for 9 months now with no luck.
I am feeling anxious as I have been having iregular periods ever since I started ttc.
I was diagnosed with a underactive thyroid last November and my gp is adament that that is the reason for my irregular AF.
She was also not keen on referring me for this appointment saying that they will only tell me what she has told me, that I need to get my thyroid stabilised first she also insists that 9 months is not that long to be trying as many people try much longer.
Of course I do agree with her there.
However I pushed for the refferal based on my following concerns
I am 37 years of age 38 in September, there is early menopause in my family between the ages of 38 and 40.
I do have concerns that the irregular periods may be a sign of impending menopause.
My gp has run blood hormone tests on me but never goes through t he results properly with me with me instead expecting me to take her word they are all okay.
My gp also seems vague on alot of my questions.
I have to be honest I feel quite nervous about this appointment tomorrow and I am worried I will be fobbed off and not get my concerns over properly.
Has anybody any tips on what I should say.
Sorry I am so useless at things like this and always come out feeling I have not been forceful enough.
At the same time I don,t want to go in there looking ridiculously desperate about it all.
