This progression isn’t looking good is it?

15dpo, doesn’t look like it’s getting darker now. Had some cramping last night, my temperature is still staying up. Has anyone had stalled progression that ended well?

I'm not an expert by any means but it's doesn't look great no. The last one looks paler than the one 2 days previously. It does all depend if they are all fmu and equally hydrated though. All you can do is wait and see unfortunately. Best of luck.

”line progression” on this type of test means nothing, they are only designed to give a positive or negative result. Only a blood test can give you an accurate progression.
Right now you know you’re pregnant so focus on that, try to remain positive and take each day as it comes.
I would recommend you stop testing now too, it’s not going to tell you anything useful.

Lulu89x · 10/04/2025 13:23

These tests are not designed to determine viability....... they are designed to tell you if you have conceived or not.

As difficult as it is, put the tests down and try to be positive. No amount of obsessive testing is going to change anything.

Plus, if you feel the need to test, test next week, not every single day.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy x

13dpo is the only one that looks out of place, maybe you were just less hydrated then. The lighting changes too so I don't think you can directly compare. Try not to worry!

Hi OP, unfortunately although of course these tests aren't 'designed' to determine viability, it's a good indicator to how things are progressing. From 13dpo to today it looks like it's getting lighter, I had the same before with these tests & it ended in a chemical. I found testing good for my mental health as it helped me prepare for the loss, we are all different. I hope this doesn't happen for you, wishing the bestFlowers

Yes I feel like it’s helping to manage my expectations. One on hand I’m trying to just think “I’m pregnant today”, but if it’s not going to stay I’d rather have an idea and feel like I’ve got some knowledge?

I am going to try and avoid/reduce testing and just see, but it’s hard!

I’ve had on/off cramping today, like mild period pains, but no bleeding yet. Not sure how quickly these things come to an end?

HCG doubles every 48 hours. So you’re looking at the increase between 10dpo and 12dpo and 14dpo. Those are getting progressively darker. If you’re going to test, test every 48 hours.

Cramps could mean a non-viable pregnancy but it could also mean a viable pregnancy that is settling itself in. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything you can do at the moment but wait and see. If you have bleeding, contact EPU. If you don’t, you can book an early scan but not before 6 weeks but ideally 8.

Thanks that’s helpful!
yes just need to wait and see 🤞🏻

Tests aren’t looking too good but I have never came across a woman who didn’t cramp in early pregnancy.

Tests aren’t looking too good but I have never came across a woman who didn’t cramp in early pregnancy.

Yes much googling has reassured me of that. Has eased a bit today, although who knows if that means anything!

No bleeding yet and my temp is still up. I did a clear blue digital this morning that still says 1-2 weeks (said this on Monday too), but whilst it was FMU, it was only 4hrs after last toilet trip as keep waking in the night. So who knows. Luckily I’ve only got two e@h tests left so that’s prevented me using them. Trying to remain hopeful and see what happens

If you can try to not test for 2-3 days and the result after that should give a more clear picture. You could be having a slower rise, I personally wasn’t seeing much difference in my tests so I logged them into the premom app as ovulation tests to see what ration they were at and and I got the same reading for 3 days in a row and then a lower reading and then it started to rise.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 12/04/2025 07:15

The month I got pregnant, I was very stressed and busy, hardly had sex and didn't even notice I was late until I was at least 19dpo - and my first test looked like your 15dpo.

I'd stop testing day by day, after my positive I waited 48h between each test.

Muddysocks1 · 12/04/2025 08:15

Unfortunately 48hrs difference doesn’t look any darker. Hard to look at them like this sorry not very good at editing!

I never really had strong line progression with these tests. Your digital will say 1-2 weeks until next week probably. I'm now 7 months pregnant. I wouldn't be too concerned by these tbh. I also had cramping and that's very normal. At times it was worse than period cramping.

When a friend experienced a chemical pregnancy, their lines got faint very quickly and then the bleeding started.

Honestly, these seem fine to me ❤️

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 12/04/2025 12:47

But it's really the 13DPO that's the anomaly? If you hadn't tested that day you wouldn't be thinking anything of it.

emmatcc1 · 12/04/2025 12:57

Try am and pm tests. Some women have higher hcg in the pm.

twodoorsup · 12/04/2025 13:12

It is still pretty strong, which I wouldn't be expecting if it had been a chemical, my HCG dropped really quickly within a few days, I'd have expected your test line to be almost away by now, so it could be good news still. I always got darker tests in the evening and know a lot of people who were the same🤞🏼

Muddysocks1 · 13/04/2025 17:25

Yes it’s odd as they’re not really light. But I wonder if it’s stopped developing a bit later. I haven’t tested today but will do tomorrow morning and see how it’s looking. 19DPO and no bleeding yet. Still some on/off cramping. My temperature is still high and my heart rate has been higher too. That probably doesn’t mean much though. I assume it can stop progressing and take a bit of time for levels to drop?

@TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis yes good point re it just being 13DPO, hopefully tomorrow will shed some light

Just to update - tested today and it’s almost stark white. So a definite chemical xx

So sorry to hear it, @Muddysocks1. I've been there multiple times and I know how much it hurts. Be kind to yourself.

twodoorsup · 15/04/2025 10:52

I'm sorry OP, hope you are doing ok, it's not easy x
