Trisomy screening and maternal age

What age would you skip the NHS trisomy screening at the 12 week scan and just go straight for a nipt? Some trusts offer nipt if there's a high chance result I believe but I'm not sure of my local one. I guess doing it anyway and expecting a high chance result is an option but it feels like inviting stress.

Unless you’re going to pay for it privately, you don’t have this option on the NHS. You have the combined screening & if the chance is high then further testing is offered, it’s not available as standard.

Regardless of age I’d have the combined screening, if it’s high risk then you get your further testing, if it’s low risk then you don’t need to worry.

I know it's not available as a first choice. It is available in some trusts after a high chance result though. Just wondering at what point I was better not worrying myself and finding the money to go straight to nipt instead. Though weirdly my second pregnancy gave lower chance results when I was fatter and older than with my first. I don't expect that to happen this time though.
