Evap lines??

I have had so many negative tests but don't ever recall any evap lines. Why do some tests produce them and some don't? On negative months I've literally had zilch, not even anything to make me think maybe it could be, but I see posts here all the time.
I even checked mine earlier today after 2 hours and still nothing.

Just curious.

I think a lot of people pee directly on them rather than dipping, which can flood the test (or dip too long). Some of the strip tests people think are evaps I am sometimes dubious of and think they are actually chemicals. I think a lot of the really early testers get this and think it must be an evap if it’s then negative the next day but it’s sometimes the reality of a chemical. In the past they would just happen and no one would be any the wiser but now with really early detection tests able to be bulk bought relatively cheaply people see it more and more.

I haven’t a clue why clearblue have so many evap/dye run lines. They are absolutely horrendous. I’ve had them myself and I 100% wasn’t pregnant so definitely not a chemical. I have even been told by my EPU to not use them due to the amount of lines they show. Clearblue are only decent if you have missed a period. Not for earlier in my opinion. They show up too many thin and broken lines that aren’t positive.

Regarding test strips personally I’ve never had an evap on them. But if a line is broken or grey in colour I wouldn’t trust it.

I’ve had bad issues with the old FRERs as well with indent lines. Again I had a noticeable line (but was colourless) but had a blood test that same day and was totally negative.

I think the issue really stems from testing too early. If people only tested the day their period was due most of these issues would be solved as the majority of people will get a strong line by that point. Its trying to interpret the is there/isn’t there a line and people taking tests apart and shining lights at the back that cause a whole lot of confusion.

Obviously people aren’t going to stop testing early so it’s not easily solvable.

But if I ruled the world I’d take the clearblue tests with the lines off the market and only allow pink dye tests or digitals. Because I do think out of all the tests available clearblue cause the biggest problems.
