Home insemination kits

I know there have been a few threads on the topic but I was wondering if anyone had any updates on which kits are the best to try? (Also away at the moment without enough signal to search properly, so apologies if this has been asked a lot already)

Baby dancing is feeling pressured and chore like so thought we’d give the insemination kits a go.

The expensive ones seem to suggest that bypassing the vaginal bacteria is important, or is that nonsense to make huge profits?
Would a long syringe (or lube launcher thing) and a clean yogurt pot do the same job?

Tempted to throw lots of cash at the ‘Bea’ or ‘Two Plus Options’ but already subscribe to the eye wateringly expensive ‘Naitre’ supplements.

Didn't know you could get "kits" - syringe and yoghurt pot success here!!

There used to be a website that sold sample pots, bog standard syringes and the basic pregnancy and ovulation test strips.

They worked just fine.

I got pregnant this way, using lube launcher after oral sex finishing in a clean pot. They advise against oral sex due to the saliva, and the syringe wasn't a special one and it still worked.

Sadly was ectopic - but the method itself worked just fine.

@MocktailMe Do you know why they advise against oral? My DP can’t finish with hand only (well my hand lol) and we wanted to make home insemination a ‘together’ thing. I am so sorry to hear about your ectopic xx

Thanks for the replies.

Sorry to hear it was ectopic @MocktailMe I wasn’t aware of the saliva thing, it does make sense though - digestive enzymes in saliva probably aren’t good for sperm cells.

Some of the kits are quite nifty 😂
The (£250 😬) one that I’m so tempted by has an in built cervical cap so you fill it, insert, squirt, then then click off the cap and leave it for an hour before before retrieving it.

You can also buy discs that do similar.

Hi, unrelated but how are you finding the naitre products?

Hi
I like them. It would have been much cheaper to buy the individual supplements but for me it was worth the price to know that the dosage was all correct and the quality seemed good. We have conceived while taking them (it’s very early days 🤞) I don’t know how much Naître had to do with it.

Ahh great news to hear you’ve concieved! Did you and your partner both take them? And was this the only supplement you took?

We both did. For me, I took calcium and omega 3 in addition (I take those anyway)

For my partner, he took the naitre along with fenugreek and ashwanganda for sperm quality and motility.

I’m 39 and he’s 42 so we decided to throw everything at it 😂

Partner also kept his testicles cooler with ice packs and cool showers
