Can breastfeeding cause chemical pregnancy?

Still breastfeeding my 16 month. Got pregnant few weeks ago and sadly had early loss a week later. I’m now wondering if it’s the breastfeeding as he fed more at night that week. Can breastfeeding thin the uterine lining out so egg doesn’t stick? I had headaches the week I found out I was pregnant which I never got last time which made me think maybe my hormones are too low as I get them before my period. When I did miscarry there was blood but I expected more so I’m now wondering if somehow the breastfeeding has made my hormones too low to continue the pregnancy.

Anyone know anything on this one?

Might ask gp to test my hormones

Hello!
Did you check your hormonal profile?
I'm currently 14 months pp and still brrastfeed a couple of times, usually at night.
This, alongside my pcos, has caused amenorrhea, low hormone levels (e2, progesterone, lh, FSH etc), and a thin endometrium, so pregnancy is not possible just yet.
Let us know how you are doing.

This thread is nearly a year old. How did you even find it???

Edit- yes, the irony that I have just commented too is not lost on me 🤦‍♀️

I guess the algorithm black hole consumed me.

TBH wanna check how it turns out for other women in similar situations!

Unfortunately this was not a miscarriage but an ectopic pregnancy. They thought it was a miscarriage so told me not to take any more tests for a few weeks - which meant the ectopic got missed and I ended up getting emergency surgery to remove my left fallopian tube. It was pretty traumatic. Thankfully I got pregnant a few months after my surgery and I am now 30 weeks pregnant! Textbook pregnancy so far thankfully 🙏

They don’t know what caused my ectopic but mild endometriosis was found during my surgery which is a risk factor - but honestly they said it was most likely ‘random’. Best of luck!
