Body failing to ovulate after a loss

Hello,
Unfortunately we had a loss at 19 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality. We had a TMFR on the 4th September. šŸ’” It was devastating. I’m 42 and this was our first pregnancy after 2 years trying.
I had my first period 5 weeks after the procedure and assumed (probably naively) that my cycle would just go back to my regular 27 day cycle.

I’m now on day 33 with so sign of AF. I tracked ovulation with OPKs and they suggested ovulation at my regular day (day 10). However after a no show with my period, I took a pregnancy test which was negative. I then did an ovulation test which looks like my body is trying to ovulate again (pic in comments)

It’s so frustrating as I used to be so regular and it’s impossible to tell where my body is at.

I know the procedure wasn’t that long ago and ideally we would take a break before trying again but I’m almost 43 and just don’t have the luxury of waiting. I can’t BBT due to not being a good sleeper.

Is it normal for my body to be like this after such a procedure? Will I ever go back to normal or has this procedure kicked off menopause.

I’m so stressed, anxious and frustrated. šŸ˜ž

Sorry for your loss. It can be normal, it took me two complete cycles to get back to normal after my miscarriage, and some can take longer than that.

Hi , it took my body 2 months to ovulate again after a loss.
Sending you lots of love
