Hertility - when to take it?

Hello,

I have just bought a hertility test, after seeing recommendations on here. I have had 4 pregnancy losses and a fertility clinic appointment next month so wanted to get some tests in advance of that.

It says to take the test on the morning of day 3 of my period. I had light spotting yesterday and started my 'full flow' today - do I say Day 1 is today or yesterday? It's expensive, so I don't wanna mess it up!

First day of flow is the first day of your period ☺️ First day you needed to use period products basically!

Hmm so I properly needed to start using products before bed last night. So would I count yesterday as my Day 1?

I had the same situation as you when I did my Hertility test last month and I counted the first full day of proper flow as day 1 - so I think that's you today? I don't know if that was the right thing to do but I got results back and they make sense!

Have you paid for a follow up consultation too? If you haven't already I found it very useful, especially if you do have any results slightly out of range 😊

Count your full flow day as 1 even if you required products late the night before.

Though should underline that it doesn't hugely matter if you do the tests on day 2 or 4 instead. They'll still provide the relevant hormonal snapshot during a period of quiet ovarian activity.

Thank you everyone!
