What else could be causing my irregular cycle

ttc my 2nd dc but suffering from irregular cycles.
I have had cycles as short as 23 days 33 days.
and cycles as long as 62 days.
My underactive thyroid has been blamed many times but even when tsh was at 0.2 which although was a little overstimulated at least it wasn,t underactive it still looked like I was heading for a long cycle as I was on cd 44 when that check was carried out.
All hormone tests have been okay, no indication of menopause etc.
So what else could be causing my irregular cycle.
I have been checked for polycystic ovaries no sign of that.
Please can anybody help me get to the bottom of it its really bothering me.

I would ensure that thorough hormone tests and internal ultrasound scans are carried out on a regular basis. You need someone like a gynae to go through the results with you, this problem is often out a GPs or practice nurse's remit. Something is causing all this and its usually due to PCO or thyroid imbalances. Polycystic ovaries can and do disappear only to be replaced by further cystic follicles. If anything other than an internal ultrasound scan has been done it will not be detected if its there.

If you are not already under the care of a cons gynae at a subfertility unit you should be.

What's your bloodwork like in terms of LH and FSH?. These two hormone levels are tested early in the cycle (as yours are so irregular it can be done according to calendar days). LH and FSH are important in terms of ovulation, if these are awry then ovulation will be affected.

My period has been weird since coming off bc pills. I went to dr and he sent me to a gynae. I am so glad that he did because it turns out that I have a dermoid cyst on my left ovary which has to be removed. It is a confused egg that gets stuck in/on the ovary and decided that it is going to form itself. they found it through a scan.Anyways, I have had a couple of m/c and they aren't 100% sure that it is from my cyst, but I think it is causing them. I hope I am not scaring you, and this isn't serious at all. I would definately go and see a gynae, they can test you for so much more than your gp.Dermoid cysts are really common and are completely different than polycystic ovaries.
