Hi all. Just hoping for some insights, positive stories and suggestions regarding timings.

My background: In 2005, I had abdominal surgery to treat Crohn's Disease which means I have scar tissue in the pelvic area. Crohn's in control ever since.
We started TTC in November 2023 and fell pregnant in January 2024. Unfortunately, it was ectopic (right tube) and the ectopic pregnancy was removed via laparoscopy in February 2024. The surgeon said it wasn't possible to remove the right tube because the tube was stuck to my bowel and it looked like the rupture had healed itself (we think I ruptured 5 days prior surgery).
Surgeon told us to keep trying and so we did, straight away.

Still no BFP 6 months down the line so I called my GP. She arranged a PDG test and made a referral to the fertility clinic. PDG test confirmed that I'm ovulating (although, I haven't been doubtful whether or not I'm ovulating because I'm regular) and I went to see the fertility nurse last week.

Nurse said that my right tube is probably blocked and that we should get around to the idea that out only option is IVF. Although, she did also tell us to keep trying in case that the left tube is not blocked. I'll be having a pelvic scan and blood tests next month and my partner has a sperm test arranged and we'll be meeting back up with the nurse at the start of November.

I'm expecting the scan to show that the left tube is also blocked because of the scar tissue so we've started looking into IVF clinics. We're based in North Wales so we wonder if anyone has any idea how long it will be before we actually start IVF if we decide to go through NHS? How much would going privately speed up the process? Has anyone fallen pregnant naturally after being told that their tubes are blocked?

Would appreciate any insights.
