CD1 - who's with me

Hi!

Just hoping for some company as I start again on CD1 today!

I'm ttc baby 2, this is my second cycle trying! My daughter took just under 12 months to conceive so I'm hopeful I can get pregnant a bit quicker this time, especially as my daughter is already 4.

This month I'm taking proceive max, high dose Omega 3, and CoQ-10 and hoping to achieve 10,000 a day to help with obsessing less 😂

Promised myself this cycle I will. Not. Test. Early 🫣

Last cycle was 25 day cycle, I'm usually between 25 and 28 days! Tracking BBT and using OPKs ☺️

Hiya, slightly ahead on CD5. My last cycle was 64 days longs as I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks back in July. Really hope cycle is some what back to normal! I also track bbt 😊

sellingupslow · 14/09/2024 10:24

Ahh I'm sorry to hear that! Fingers crossed for us both this month ❤️ when do you usually ovulate?

Henski · 14/09/2024 12:57

I was on the pill many years came off mid Feb, we didnt try/I wasn’t tracking till my cycle starting mid May and that cycle I ovulated CD 11 and got my bfp. I got lucky I caught it as I only started testing CD10, so I think I should start sooner this time!
Is your cycle like clockwork ?

sellingupslow · 14/09/2024 13:29

I ovulated CD11 last month too!

I always come on exactly 14 days after a positive OPK so it's pretty consistent in that respect, but I ovulate between 11-15 every month!

I'll start doing OPK's on CD10 this month, I want to try and be a bit more chill if possible 🫣

Hello, I'm also TTC #2, but it's my 8th cycle.

Just one day ahead, CD 2 today. I tend to ovulate day 12-14, and then have 14 day luteal phase.

I'm taking conceive+, CoQ-10, DHA/EPA and vitamin D, I've also started taking vitex this month. I'm reaching a point where I need a pill container to sort all of them 🤣

I'm using OPKs and tracking RHR after ovulation, and I'll start tracking BBT this month too. Never did before but I think more data will be nice.

I'd love a bit more chill myself this month! Hope we can support each other and stay positive.

sellingupslow · 14/09/2024 15:08

Hey @Happibara!

Welcome!

I track using my Apple Watch and I find it really helpful! Seems we're on a similar concoction of meds 😬 what's RHA?

I'm desperate for this month to be my month as I'll have the exact same due date as with my daughter (although she wasn't born on her due date)

Definitely, it'll be nice to have someone to talk to that's interested in all this, my husband just wants to have sex and doesn't care about the rest 😂 he is desperate for baby 2 though bless him as he's been asking since my daughter turned 18 months, I just haven't been ready until now

OP posts:
Happibara · 14/09/2024 16:07

@sellingupslow Oh, that would be lovely, imagine having a month of birthday celebrations! Wish you luck, I hope it happens!

We're definitely interested... Very, very interested, perhaps too much - I do ask myself if it would be healthier to not obsess so much. Would try it if I could 😆 And perhaps that level of intensity is just not easily achievable if you're the male partner, no matter how eager they are to welcome the new baby.

The RHR is resting heart rate, it's supposed to elevate, and keep going up for a while, if implantation is successful. And it really did for me in my first pregnancy, so now I'm checking it every day in the TWW. Gives you a similar feedback to BBT tracking, but I'm adding BBT now as it's better at confirming if you actually ovulated.

sellingupslow · 14/09/2024 19:58

@Happibara oh interesting! I'll have a read into it!

I've spent all afternoon researching Mucinex to aid conception., I saw it on TikTok and have seen many positive stories but I'm feeling uneasy about it

Apparently it can't do any harm, it's just an over the counter cough medicine, but not sure if it's worth a shot or not!

I'm deffo going to make sure I drink a lot more this month and eat more fresh fruit/veg and less processed and sugary foods 🤞🏼

I'm a bit further along on CD7 but this will be my first cycle trying for our 2nd! I've sort of being trying to track to see what happens when in my cycle, so I think I usually ovulate day 14-19 - not too sure! I fell first cycle with my son but I'm not sure we'll be so lucky again.. I'll be 34 this year, whether that will have any impact!

amichel · 15/09/2024 07:48

Thanks for the invite @Henski :)

TTC baby #2 and on our 6th cycle. I'm on CD3 after a chemical pregnancy.
Sending you all baby dust and hopefully this is our cycle🤞🏼

@sellingupslow I haven't heard of CoQ-30, is it a vitamin to help with TTC?
After doing some research I've been debating taking baby aspirin this cycle.
I'm also refusing to test early, I'll try and wait until I'm a few days late😅x

Bb542 · 15/09/2024 07:56

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I think I'm 4dpo today. TTC #1 following 2 losses within the last 6 months. Had surgery for a missed miscarriage a few months ago. Didn't really plan on trying again so soon but here we are. Feeling nervous but hopeful.

So far I've been feeling exhausted and had a blood/metal taste in my mouth yesterday. I only have had this when I've been pregnant so we will see.

Currently going through tests for recurrent miscarriage and they've advised not to get pregnant while tests are ongoing so I'm a little scared 🙈

How's everyone today?

Henski · 15/09/2024 08:04

Hi @Bb542 I had a miscarriage back in July (surgically removed) and they told me to wait 3 cycles but then my doctor said 1 cycle is enough, they’re not very consistent. Not like they can do anything if you get pregnant 😊

I'm so sorry you went through this too @Henski . How are you doing? I also had surgery in July for a MMC and it's been tough. Hope you're okay and hopefully we get lucky this time ❤️

sellingupslow · 15/09/2024 08:33

Hi @amichel ☺️

Sorry to hear about your chemical, I hope you're ok.

So I don't fully understand how C0Q10 works, but I'd been trying for a while with daughter and the month I took coq10 I got pregnant with her, so now I just take it as mark of my daily ttc meds!

I'm CD2 so we're so close! Do you use OPK's?

sellingupslow · 15/09/2024 08:34

Hi @Bb542

Sorry to hear about your losses, that sounds super stressful. TTC is such a mentally tough time at the best of times so I really feel for you, but your symptoms sound positive so I'm keeping everything crossed for you ❤️

OP posts:
Henski · 15/09/2024 08:47

@Bb542 It was tough, on one hand I was in sooo much physical pain i couldn’t eat or sleep and I instantly felt so much better after the procedure but then I felt terribly guilty for feeling like that. Taking the positive that I managed to get pregnant and that it will happen again. This is my first period after the miscarriage.
how are you doing? Did you have a long cycle as well ?

Bb542 · 15/09/2024 08:59

@sellingupslow thank you so much ❤️ I hope you're doing ok too. It sounds like you're doing all the right things ❤️ hopefully it won't take as long for you this time xx

@Henski I can totally relate. Did you have to take the medication to dilate the cervix before the surgery? I found it so painful. I was so glad to feel no physical pain after the surgery (although I did have cramping for a few days after). I got my period exactly 28 days after the surgery so it was a normal cycle luckily. The only issue now is I've found out through testing that I've low egg reserve and low oestrogen levels so I'm a little worried about that. But yes you are right to be positive. We are able to get pregnant and that's a huge positive. I know a lot of people have recommended taking aspirin to help next time 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Also girls I am so sorry, I read the title of the thread as "1DPO"... not cycle day 1. I'm probably way too far along in my cycle to be on this thread. I'm so sorry 🙈

sellingupslow · 15/09/2024 10:18

@Bb542 no stay! We're all here for each other no matter how far along you are!

OP posts:
Henski · 15/09/2024 10:51

@Bb542 yeah I had medication before surgery but I had no pain, even after I think I cramped for 1 day. My HCG was over 122000 it took about 6.5 weeks for me to test negative, that was torture. Were you in the Feb 2025 chat I think I remember your username.

Bb542 · 15/09/2024 11:06

Thank you @sellingupslow ❤️ I'd be happy to stay if you guys are happy for me to 😂❤️

@Henski yes I was! My second pregnancy was due in Feb 25. Were you in the WhatsApp group too?

Henski · 15/09/2024 12:51

@Bb542 yeah I was, left the group quietly couldn’t quite bring myself to tell everyone I was miscarrying.

amichel · 16/09/2024 10:37

@sellingupslow

Thank you! I had a gut feeling something wasn't right from the super faint tests and I should have waited before doing a digital.

I'm going to have a look online to see where I can purchase it from. I've read lots over the past few days of people taking cough medicine, baby aspirin and all sorts. I'm going to give it a go this month.

The bleeding is coming to an end. I'll start testing with OPKs from tomorrow. Last cycle was the first time we've done it on peak day and we conceived so I'm aiming to dtd on peak day again🤞🏼x

sellingupslow · 16/09/2024 19:02

@Bb542 how are you feeling today?

How's everyone else? I did my first gym session today for at least a year, I'm trying to get a bit healthier by working out and eating better!

I'm on CD3 today, hopefully my period will be done tomorrow!

Going to start doing OPKS from CD9 I think

sellingupslow · 16/09/2024 19:04

@amichel do you know what you're looking for? There's a special type you can take, if you don't know let me know and I'll find it for you (cough syrup). I'm going to try it for this month and if it doesn't work I won't do it again but worth a shot!
