I’ve tried everything

seed cycling, pomegranate juice, beetroot juice, tracking bbt (regular cycle and ovulation confirmed), fluffy socks 24/7, cough syrup, expensive vitamins designed specially for fertility (him & her), coq10, vitamin c, no baths, only hot food, walking everyday, my diet is full of fertility friendly foods, I have no stress in my life (other than this but even still, I wouldn’t say I was STRESSING), eating enough protein, legs in air after, SMEP method, clear blue fertility monitor, cheap ovulation sticks to find peak. I have tried IT ALL for four months now (after a 16 week loss), and what more could I possibly try?

Next month I’m adding preseed and acupuncture. I know it can take a year to get pregnant but we got pregnant on the first try last time, and obviously had a 16 week pregnancy so the desperation to have what we almost had is extreme.

is anyone else trying it all and it’s just not happening? Or, did you add something that helped one month?

I know we are all different but just wanting to chat to someone who is also trying so much too.

I'm sorry for our loss.

Four months isn't long enough. Have you had any counselling? How long were you trying before your loss.

Be kind to yourself.

It’s very frustrating OP but four months isn’t that long in the grand scheme of things…!

I'm so sorry for your loss at 16 weeks and I hope you get your rainbow baby soon.

In my first pregnancy we used conceive plus lube and fell pregnant quickly - not sure if it helped or coincidence but maybe worth a try?

I'm really sorry to read this but my first thought was 'have you tried just doing absolutely nothing?'

No pills, no expensive treatments, no avoiding anything. Just 'being.'

A previous poster is right when they say 4
months is no time at all.

Good luck

For 9 years we tried everything religiously tracking ovulation seeking help from fertility clinic, trying different lines, trying smep nothing worked, the month I decided to give up and admit defeat was the month I've fell pregnant. I think sometimes doing less works, we put so much pressure on ourselves. Maybe have a more relaxed couple months and see what happens, don't track don't temp or anything it might surprise you.

It takes 3-months for CoQ-10 to have the full impact as it takes 3-months for eggs to mature.

It took me two years to conceive with two m/c along the way. I'll tell you the only things that worked for me, the caveat being that 4 months is no time at all (though i appreciate how it feels at the time) and anything you try needs tine to work before ruling it out.

  • DH had a low sperm count (it may not be you!) so he lost weight, cut out alcohol and took vitamins
  • I had reflexology on all the cycles I conceived
  • I took soy isoflavones on certain cycle days (can't remember which ones)

I'm so sorry for your loss, that must have been devastating. Take a deep breath. Just because it happened first try last time doesn't mean there's anything wrong because it's taking longer this time around. I'd advise stepping away from making your whole routines about TTC, and remembering to spend time on yourself and your relationship outside of TTC. Don't lose sight of your life and happiness whilst you're on the journey, it can take some time (I say this as someone who has so far had a 7 year journey, actively trying for over 4 years of that, and 3 missed miscarriages). Sending hugs x
