TTC - overwhelm with info - HELP

We began TTC at start of year. I am 37 years old, partner is 46 and I have PCOS so very aware it likely won't be straightforward for us so i am trying to give us our very best chance but I am so overwhelmed with info on what to do to give us our best chances..... can anyone recommend a source - perhaps a book that can simplify things? Or a supplement rec (bonus points if it is with a focus on more "natural" ways of doing things - not essential but I do try and keep things as natural as I can)

I have stopped using retinol and started taking folic acid but then read that "folate" acid is the more "pure" form of folic acid so therefore is better - and i also read that i shouldn't take cod liver oil (which I have been as it helps my joints etc)....eat lots of sweet potatoes, try Healf supplements, exercise...but not too much and the list goes on and on everytime I try and gather some info...

So if you got this far thank you - and if you can recommend something tried and tested and/or a good simplified book I would be much obliged :) Thank you xx

Hi, I know there's so much out there it's so hard! I found the book 'Nurture' really good to give guidance on nutrition and mental health during the TTC process, however it doesn't give specific recommendations on brands to use. I also read 'A modern midwife's guide to pregnancy, birth and beyond' which had lots of great info.

I've successfully used Nutriadvanced pregnancy multi vit which has folate and all the other vitamins you need in preconception-breastfeeding. I also then take a vegan algae oil from Amazon (all the benefits of cod liver oil but without mercury as it contains the algae the fish feed off of!)
Hope that helps! Good luck 🤞

Same as PP I took the nutri advanced pregnancy and I'm still taking them (11 weeks pregnant). They're quite big and don't taste great but they have everything you need including folate. Good luck!

Thank you so much for answering recommending! It is good to get a tried and tested rec instead of the google overwhelm :)

I took pregnacare before conception and boots omega 3 fish oil. You can continue to use the pregnacare once you’ve conceived and then move to their pregnancy ones. I also have PCOS so took myoinositol in powder form, not sure if it made a difference but I was willing to try!
