Low progesterone after ovulation

Unfortunately, I've had my second loss in 7 weeks. Gp phoned. She looked at all the charts, blood results, positive tests that I sent her. She thinks it looks like a low progesterone issue. She was lovely & said she'd put in an urgent referral to gynaecology for their advice. She said that if I fall pregnant then she might be able to issue progesterone under their advice if they ok it. She said they may not see me themselves after 2 losses this year as She thinks the threshold may be 3, but she's going to get back to me on what they say & we'll take it from there.

Has anyone ever had the same issue and then went on to have a successful pregnancy? If so, what did they do to boost your progesterone?

Progesterone suspostrises and they are given after 1 loss in our area. The stats are great and most people go on to have a healthy pregnancy, I can’t remember the percentages.

Thank you for replying. Really hoping my GP comes back to me & says she will give me them. It was her idea to be fair. Just waiting on gynaecology to get back to her with a yes or no. Hopefully I get them as that's 2 losses I've had now & progesterone at 11.8 on 7dpo

I think the guidance recently changed and most health boards are now happy to give progesterone suppositories after 1 loss (previously 3). My hospital said they would only prescribe after an early scan, when they know the pregnancy is in the correct place as they don't want to be potentially feeding an ectopic with progesterone. Not sure if everywhere would be the same. If you don't get anywhere with the GP/gynae, you could call your local EPU when you fall pregnant, to see if they would be happy to see you. So sorry for your losses. Good luck xx

Unfortunately, I don't get far enough for a scan because my progesterone falls too low quickly. The furthest I've got is 4 weeks & 3 days. I have one living son who is now 6 & I had no problems with his pregnancy. Ideally, I'd need progesterone in the tww x
