Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Would you transfer, or start a new cycle?

I have two remaining embryos from a freeze all cycle I did when I was 29. They aren't the best grading - Day 5 3bc and Day 6 5ab (I was happy about this, but my fertility doctor seemed to think this should be used last, as it developed a day later). I just miscarried a Day 5 3bb at 7 weeks, so gutting.

I am 34 about to turn 35 next month. I'm not sure if I should use these embryos, potentially getting failed transfers or miscarriages and prolonging the time to a baby whilst aging into my 35th year, or just start all over again.

I would choose a new clinic, closer to home, that seems a bit more modern (with procedures like Embryoscope). My current clinic is far away and quite disorganised.

I only want one more child (probably), so there would be the question of what to do with remaining embryos if the new cycle worked. I would probably store them as can now do so for 55 years. I have about 8k saved up for this.

Thoughts?

If you’re looking to just add one more child to your family I would use the embryos you have first. Hopefully, one would be successful, but if not you’d find out pretty quickly.
