Worried about my age

Hi all
So I'm 38 but my partner is younger. We have been TTC for a couple of years now and nothing has happened - although I'm fairly sure I had a chemical over a year ago. I already have a child and I absolutely was convinced I was pregnant but AF came late. I had so many symptoms but sadly it wasn't to be.
Anyway my cycles recently have been a couple of days shorter. I've been taking cq10 and trying to be healthy but I'm just wondering if anyone thinks my shorter cycles should be a cause for concern?
Thanks ☺️

Nobody could say for sure, but I know personally my mum’s cycles shortened at 39 and she was perimenopausal. That’s probably not the case for everyone though and there may be another reason, that was just what it was symptomatic of for her personally x

I've been waiting for ages for a referral 😔

I fell on at 41 after 5 years of no contraception. Periods ranged from 3-4 week cycles.

Some good podcasts on DOAC about peri. It does not mean you can't get pregnant. It just means hormone levels fluctuate.

I’d definitely push for a referral OP or even see if you can have a Hertility one done privately to speed the process up. Age & shortening cycles I would try to get this done asap x

You can pay for a fertility MOT fairly cheaply. I think its about £500 for a couple. It's worth going private if you can afford it.
