Finally made decision to remove nexplanon implant, 8 years back to back and try for a baby.

During my appointment I was asked about my periods etc. Which always been all over the place plus I was officially diagnosed with endometriosis couple year ago(key hole surgery). I said I'm nervous as I was not sure how my body will react.

It's been almost 48h since I got it removed, last night while out for dinner I felt cramps coming, but I was completely unprepared what was about to happen. By the time we got home (10min door to door) cramps got absolutely unbearable, I couldn't get out of the car! The pain is as if my right ovary is being ripped into shreds. Took pain killers, slept a little , woke up around midnight with excruciating pain, feeling sick. I can feel it all over me and I feel awful, pain killers barely help.

Please tell me this will get better, I never felt that kind of pain. I know my body and hormones need to re adjust after stopping contraception but is this even normal, to feel so much pain ?!
This is not just normal cramps 😫

I haven't had an implant, but honestly if I were you I'd contact GP or call 111 for advice.

@CitrusSquad i came off the mini pill last year and for a week before my period arrived I had horrific cramps always in the middle of the night that would wake me up & id be in so much pain I was rocking back & forth. No idea why they were so bad or why they were happening for a few days leading up to my period. But it’s never happened again. Mine were only for 10 mins at a time. Obviously I’m not a medical professional & this was just my experience so always best to get checked out

Wow I've never heard of anything like that. I've not had the implant but I was on the pill for 15 years before coming off and had no pain. I'd check with a doctor.

I had the implant for 9 years before trying to get pregnant, I had no pain, the only problem I had was a 56 day cycle before I got my first period after getting it out. I'd definitely contact 111 or your gp, I wouldn't expect pain like that. Hope you get it sorted soon
