Ghosted by my own ‘symptoms’

Hi,

So I’m pretty sure I ovulated on the 24th July, making me 8 dpo. This is only cycle two of TTC and I think I had an anovulatory cycle last month.

Just a bit of back story, am in a same sex couple and did artificial insemination. We have an 8 month old that my wife carried and we used the same donor and same technique with me on the 23rd July.

Anyway, I seemed to have loads of ‘symptoms’ from like 2dpo, crazy cramps and twinges and backache and my boobs got massive and sore. I putting symptoms like that as I’m aware that’s too early to even have any.

yesterday at 7 dpo I felt really low in mood but that was it and now I’ve woke up and feel, if anything great! No cramps, no sore breasticles, nothing! I have had insomnia for 3 nights but that’s it!!

Can anyone shed any light?! Is the disappearance of symptoms a bad sign, should I be feeling something? Anything?!

yours,

crazy lady

There aren't any pregnancy symptoms in the days immediately after ovulation. Everything women report is wishful thinking/ standard cycle consequences of progesterone rising. It's confirmation bias when those with very early "symptoms" go on to have a positive.

Everyone varies but your good mood 8dpo could potentially be a good sign, however... in my conception cycle it was the lack of symptoms which stood out. No mood crash in the days leading up to period due date. Because progesterone continued to rise rather than plummeting alongside oestrogen.
