Is sex every day too much to conceive?

Husband and I are trying for baby number 2. Baby number one was born on the back of a miscarriage where we weren't 'trying' but not preventing either.

We are exceptionally broody again and we have extremely high sex drives. I know the advice is to have sex every few days but we are really struggling with this. We usually have sex at least once a day and doctor advised us to cut down.

Has anyone had sex every day and got pregnant?

We used the sperm meets egg plan the month we conceived and DTD 3/4 days in a row and got pregnant. Maybe save the every day for the 3/4 days around ovulation x

You don't need to cut down unless your partner has a low sperm count.

DD1 was conceived when DH and I were young and energetic enough to be DTD daily. I was on the pill too. Optimum is every other day I believe to allow the sperm count to increase again.

I couldn't do it every day because I'd get thrush 😆
I conceived my second only having sex once during my fertile window and I used the Flo app, so I guess it depends on timing. But if you did it everyday obviously you'd have higher chance so it certainly wouldn't hurt to but I wouldn't burn yourself out over it. Every few days should be enough due to sperm life etc.

See when we were trying to conceive the baby we lost (sorry should’ve explained it better we were trying and lost our first baby and then conceived our baby who was born last year when we weren’t actively trying) the doctor told us we were having too much sex. Husband is 42 and I’m 29 if that makes a difference.

we were on our lunch break earlier and DTD so we’ve promised to be strict from here on in over my fertile window lol.

If you've had two pregnancies, I can't see why you're being advised to have less sex, as it seems like there aren't any fertility issues.

doctor at the time said daily was too much for sperm quality. Thought it was a bit strange myself.

Daily is fine for quality. If anything it will be increased. It's just the count that could be affected. If it was a GP you can safely ignore most of what they say about fertility.
