Bit of a silly title but couldn't think how better to caption what I am trying to ask here. TTC no 1 at 39 and looking for tips as to what lifestyle changes might help. I exercise regularly, eat a fairly balanced diet, have a few glasses of wine a week. I guess I am just looking for some advice or if there is anything I am missing? Should I be taking any vitamins etc, do they help with conception? I recall one friend eating a very restricted but healthy diet, protein mainly but just seems a bit odd to me.

Cut the wine. Any alcohol reduces the chance of the embryo implanting. That's the big thing really. Other than that just start folic acid. Good luck!

You already have a head start because you're so healthy, but as well as starting folic acid I'd personally start Ubiquinol to improve egg health (takes about three months). Best of luck! I always found TTC really exciting. There are a few other lifestyle tweaks / additional vitamins you can take but I'd just see how you go. Also the Mediterranean diet is very popular so I'm assuming that's what your friend did (but no idea as I don't follow diets)!

I fell pregnant with my first at 34 and second at 37. I think I'm done now at 38 but I'll give myself a couple of years and see how we go 😉.

Definitely cut the wine out, use vitamin B6 and folic acid. I've just had my 4th girl at 39 years old....also miscarried last year good luck 🤞

Don't forget folic acid.

Remember there's only so much you can do, the majority is luck and your and your partners' existing health. Obviously cut down/out booze, healthy diet, and folic acid are helpful, but I'm sure you're well aware of the stats on success rates generally, and at your age. And your partner needs to make the effort to, with being healthy. i'd avoid any very restrictive diets, these can sometimes cause changes with your cycle which is the last thing you need.
