When to visit GP for further tests - long and irregular cycles

Do I need to visit GP yet for further testing re my cycles?

Implant out in November. 35. 2 pregnancies before about ten and 3 years ago but for reasons I don't wish to discuss they never continued.

Since tracking periods my cycles have been:
31 days
67 days
32 days
Current 41 days

I've never tracked before and had implant for almost three years so have no idea what my cycles are like usually.

When do irregular cycles become a problem and need further testing?

Are you trying to conceive OP? In general a GP would investigate if you have been ttc for 12 months+ without any success, but other than that really cycles can massively vary in length in general and so it’s not something a GP typically tests for on its own.

Yes TTC.
Ok we'll keep going for another 6 months in that case.
Thank you

If you're in the UK and over 35 then you can go to your GP after 6 months TTC if that helps, and they should be able to start some investigations for you.

You're 35, go now. The wait for an initial gynae appointment (first step before fertility) is 30+ weeks in my area and that's assuming the GP refers on first visit. Might as well get on the list asap.

I’d contact them now-NHS consider irregular if longer than 35 days. I was having irregular cycles after a miscarriage and spoke to GP after 3 months, they offered initial hormone testing. And I’m under 35.

Thank you 😊 will book an appointment to discuss.

@Itstime2023 just to reiterate what others have said, I'd speak to a GP now. My cycles are irregular and they ran blood tests and a ultrasound to check everything was ok.
