Hello,

I am hoping for some advice or recommendations please.

Bit of background, we have a DD 6 years old, we have been trying for 2nd baby for the last 3 years and for the past 18 months, we had every test under the sun which have all came back normal, apart from my TSH level was 3.03 and they say should be 2.5 or under to conceive, my consultant wanted me to go for another thyroid blood test which my TSH came down to 2.7 but still said he couldn’t prescribe me any medication as all other hormones etc are normal.

He has said we have unexplained infertility and next step would be IVF, obviously we have to pay for this as already have a child, before we go down this route can anyone recommend anything I can do to help us conceive naturally? Has any been told this and fallen pregnant or should I stop wasting time and try IVF. We would have to wait a few months to save. I am also 38 next month.

Any advice, recommendations or success stories would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear that you haven’t had any success yet in trying to conceive.

I know what you are going through as I also had a difficult fertility journey and eventually fell pregnant through IVF when I was 43 years old. The pregnancy happened after the 3rd round of IVF.

Prior to this, I had been trying to conceive for over 7 years naturally without any success. All fertility tests didn’t reveal any major causes although my husband’s sperm count was a bit lower than average.

I did a lot of research into infertility and came across many reliable sources that suggest that pesticides and chemicals found in foods, cleaning and health care products as well as packaging cause havoc in the body and decreases fertility in men and women.

I came across a website called “ Natural fertility breakthrough“ by Gabriella Rosa who is a leading fertility specialist.

Her clinic offer a free course that shows you how to cut out all harmful chemicals out of your life which I did.

Four months before the 3rd successful cycle I almost only bought organic foods, avoided plastic packaging and swapped cleaning and healthcare products against natural products.

Can I ask what your diet is like?

I also bought a book called “ IVF diet” by the London based fertility clinic of Zita West which was a real eye opener.

It made me realise that we didn’t eat enough of certain foods. I also followed the meal plan within the four month period.

I really believe that these changes lead to pregnancy.

If you can afford it I would definitely go organic as it has many benefits.

Wishing you all the best for your remaining fertility journey!
