Adenomyoma and ttc

Hello all,

First time poster here and hoping to get some insight into success stories with adenomyosis!

I am 29 and diagnosed with a focal adenomyoma whilst trying to conceive, we are fairly early on in our journey (currently on our 4th cycle) but am really defeated with the available information online. I have never been pregnant!

I would love to hear any positive stories regarding naturally conceiving with adeno - I know a lot of the conversation on here is with regards to IVF and I’ve really considered that might be our only option but I saw a fertility specialist who said I didn’t need to worry about the adenomyosis as it wasn’t distorting my endometrial cavity and not causing me any symptoms.. My JZ is 1.3cm at the fundus but the rest is grossly normal!

Anyone seen an adeno specialist in the UK and was it helpful?

Success stories much appreciated to try and help manage all the anxiety - such a whirlwind!

online especially, it can seem so disheartening. I have now been diagnosed with endo but struggled with conceiving for 4.5years before falling pregnant.

They say it takes "perfectly healthy" couples up to 12 months to conceive and basically not to worry until after that time. I thought it was longer so i didn't reach out for any medical advice until much later which was silly of me.

I now have a dx of Endo and waiting for a scan to confirm Adeno. But until 12 months are up, they won't 'do' much to help unfortunately. Hoping you fall pregnant before then though :-)

I’ve done a lot of things privately as I know the NHS won’t be interested until it’s been over a year, the fertility doctor was reassuring in the sense of saying he doesn’t think the adenomyoma is impacting the cavity but most of the information out there is people who are going through IVF (which is just so daunting!)

Did you have a natural pregnancy? And if you don’t mind me asking, how old were you when you conceived?

Thanks for reassurance and support!! X
