Endometriosis... When intimacy hurts

I'm suffering from endometriosis and adenomyosis, which means that my periods are super painful and I'm dealing with excessive blood loss.

When I'm not taking the pill (which is the case now because I want to get pregnant) I'm basically bleeding 24/7 during my entire cycle.

On top of all this, it hurts when I'm intimate with my husband due to the endo pulling on my vaginal canal.

The only thing that can be done about this is the removal of my uterus, which is something that is scheduled after I've been pregnant.

But that means I'll have to get pregnant first... IVF and IUI are only possible if we've tried the 'natural' way for over 10 months.

Knowing each period is a nightmare to go through, I can hardly wait 10 months while doing nothing. The only workable option is to get pregnant as fast as possible, even if that won't be easy.

Me and my husband are highly motivated and we'd love to get kids, but it's not easy for him to see I'm in pain when we're making love. This the reason why we are currently seeing a sexologist and a pain coach. We know about the turkey blaster method but we've been told that the success rate is not as high as the 'natural' way and we really don't want to miss a chance.

Has anyone in this group been through something similar? And tips or tricks to help us out?

Yes.

It took us a year.

I presume you have painkillers prescribed for the endo. Take them before sex. Buscopan helped as well - less spasming.

TMI possibly:

Lots of lube
Experiment and find the least painful position.

Thanks! Feels great hearing I'm not the only one. We found out that the missionary position works best for us, but I still have to grit my teeth. Will try to experiment with Buscopan.
