Does anyone think this could be endometriosis?

I have been trying to convince for 9 months. I’m awaiting HSG to look at my tubes, awaiting sperm anayalsis for partner, had internal and external ultrasound (all normal) and bloods show I’m ovulating and all hormones good. I have very regular periods, day one and two I have period pain but nothing that stops me doing my usual activities I just have bad bellyache but only like everyone else seems to have. My periods last 4 days, no bleeding in between. I have pain during ovulation and sex hurts me during ovulation I think in my cervix or pelvis but like deep pain during thrusts but fine afterwards. Never bleed after sex and rest of month doesn’t hurt at all. I had swabs done in October that showed infection, although no one ever told me this and it wasn’t treated so I’ve just had more swabs done at the gp, I don’t know what the swabs showed In October my gyno just said infection. I have mild period pains from like 10 days before my period for a few days as I always think it could be implantation, this then stops and doesn’t come back again until I come on. I have no other typical endometriosis signs and I think I might just be overthinking but interested to see what other people think?

I’m no doctor but I would have thought that if you had endometriosis it would show up on an ultrasound.
its positive that you’re ovulating.
infections can stop conception because of the environment for sperm but as long as this is treated then it’s fine. I would suggest you find out what infection this was and check again.
have you had a smear test?
Also, if your partner hasn’t been checked yet, then this could be a factor.

I asked the gyno why I wasn’t treated for the infection in October and he said it doesn’t need treatment and to book into my gp for repeat swabs so I just felt fobbed off.. how does an infection not need treatment?!

I’m not a doctor but I went through the investigation process for endo (don’t have it). It can be quite rare to pick it up on an ultrasound: endo is a spectrum and can be quite mild - very severe, if it was very severe and located around other organs (bowel etc) it could show up, but otherwise the only way to say for definite is a laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). From what you’ve mentioned, if it is endo, I would say it’s on the mild side. Outside of endo it could be ovulation pains, pelvic inflammatory disease, PCOS, polycystic ovaries, or pelvic congestion syndrome. If you have pain during sex it could also be something around vaginismus. Definitely push for further tests with your GP though, and always ask to have things recorded in your notes. In my experience that tends to get doctors to actually follow up with things if it’s being recorded on your personal health file!

I deffo don’t have PCOS as been tested before but did wonder about pelvic inflammatory disease but also just wondered if this is my normal as I know a lot of people have pain during ovulation etc but now I’m trying for a baby I just want to know everything’s normal!! :(

That being said I don’t have heavy or irregular periods so I don’t really have symptoms on PID either!!

endo isn't always visible on ultrasounds, it can pick it up especially when its severe adhesions but does depend on the area. I was able to be diagnsoed via US but i know others who they needed an MRI/Laparoscopy to be able to diagnose.

OP, 9 months isn't that long of a time as the average is 12 months for healthy couples, though i do appreciate how hard it is as i was TTC for 4.5 years before i was successful.

Pain during ovulation and during sex are both symptoms of Endo bur if the period pains aren't very painful i'm not sure if endo would be the answer. Usually its debilitating pain + ovulation pain and pain during sex.

I had the HSG done also (and got pregnant the next cycle!) so fingers crossed the same happens for you.
