wonder if anyone else is in this boat? Feeling you know something is wrong and it isn’t going to just happen.

for me - 4 cycles with good timing and nada. Definitely had a VVFL 7DPO and possible after but now 10DPO nothing.
I’ve done private testing and I know my progesterone is a bit low (between 25-29) day 21. I’ve got a suspicion this is stopping implantation/sticking… I wonder if the VVFL was faint hcg?
GP has actually suggested an ultrasound but I’d guess that will be fine (had one quite a few years ago) and it’s the progesterone. Wondering if they’ll do anything before 1 year if there’s a “known” issue?

We were the same.

In the end after 8 months (still not a long time really), I had an absolute meltdown. I knew everything about everything and it was draining.

We decided to have a break, deleted my apps and no ov testing or even looking at a calendar! Such a cliche but I fell pregnant that month.

I'm so of the idea now that is doesn't matter what you do, nature decides. All of those months that we did everything 'right' and nothing. The stars will align for you, they just haven't yet.

I do think TTC is very stressful and taking as much of that stress away as possible is important. Your body tells you when you want to DTD, your body even tells your DH when you want to DTD. I think too much knowledge and intervention is more of a curse than a blessing. What did our ancestors do? They managed just fine. Just my 2 pennies worth.

Good luck OP, it'll happen when it's supposed to x

Go for the ultrasound after expected ovulation. It will confirm if you have definitely ovulated and also show the thickness of your endometrium. Can also check for things like fibroids.

Good luck!

@1woodpecker yes I had that feeling that something wasn't right as well. I had an ultrasound which suggested endometriosis and have since had surgery... Definitely go for the ultrasound.

@asbigasablueberry I'm sorry and I know you mean well but the "I relaxed and then I conceived" line really isn't helpful. Knowledge is definitely power when struggling to conceive. Our ancestors only "managed just fine" providing they didn't have any fertility issues. Many barriers to conceiving can be solved these days with modern science and our knowledge and understanding of conditions.... Our ancestors with such conditions just remained infertile.

It's great that you managed to conceive but it wasn't by stopping to actively try and relaxing that did that.... It was because you happened to have sex at the right time and so on. I, for one, stood no chance of conceiving prior to intervention.
