Thick uterine lining?

A scan showed my uterine lining was 13mm at CD9, which I was told to was thicker than normal. I asked consultant whether it's anything to do with hormones and she simply said "your cycles are regular so your hormones are fine".

Has anyone had this and known the cause? Did you get pregnant naturally? Had any treatment?

I didn't feel much trust in the consultant so I've gone ahead and ordered a finger prick blood test, but unsure what next step would be if somethings off.

Hiya, not sure if it’s any help, but I went for an ultrasound scan on day 10 of my cycle. My lining was 19mm at this point. The sonographer was really surprised at this as wayyyyy too thick for where I was in my cycle. Turns out I had two uterine polyps. Consultant said it was likely that it was those causing my thick lining and heavy periods. Not sure if helpful, but just thought I’d mention x

@Frankie2607 did they not see the polyps on the scan? How did they find the polyps?
It was during a Hycosy that they said it was a little too thick, but they said there were no polyps at the time

@Confusedddddddd They saw the one, but when I had the hysteroscopy they found two. Hmmm, sounds like they may have looked for polyps then. From what I’ve heard though they can “hide” and be difficult to see unless really looking.
