I never have a proper TWW

My husband (38) and I (35) started TTC in April 2023. We got a positive test on month 3 which resulted in an early miscarriage at 7wks (embryo was presenting as wk5). Miscarriage occurred naturally, no medical intervention.
We started trying again in September and have been TTC with no joy, this is month #8 of trying again. We paid for private fertility tests in December. Everything was fine with me (AMH, follicles and scan), husband was good on all metrics except his sperm morphology was 3% normal (normal range for natural conception is 4-14% normal) so he’s been taking supplements.
My question is… I never get a proper TWW. I have my fertile window then a couple of days afterwards I get two weeks of cramps, scraping pains in my womb area, pains in my coccyx and nerve pains down the back of my legs. These get worse and peak during the beginning of my period. I’ve mentioned this to several healthcare professionals and no one has really said anything about it. I also get 4-5 days of spotting in the lead up to my period starting. This was happening pre-miscarriage but it’s definitely gotten worse.
Anyone experienced similar or know what this could be? I’ve had the internal ultrasound on my womb and that was normal. I sometimes wonder if it’s maybe IBS or something but am fed up of constantly googling. It’s very demoralising :(

Hi,

I have been TTC #2 for a year now with no luck. My tests are also fine.

I went for acupuncture and also reflexology and got a lot of advice with regards to what is "normal" in my cycle and advice on supplements to take.

I was told that spotting/pain/ and heavy periods shouldn't always be considered as normal but often healthcare professionals will not look into it, especially when it's been the norm for the individual and all other tests are find.

Although all the scans and tests came back fine, you might want to look into a more holistic approach and see if anything can be done to rebalance?

In Chinese Medicine, your blood and Qi flow are closely related and when there's a stagnant spotting phase on either side of your period it's a symptom of Qi and Blood flow disharmony. In Chinese medicine that's referred to as Liver Qi Stagnation or Qi & Blood Deficiency.

Qi stagnation is caused by blood stasis (when blood flow slows and coagulates), and is often observed as the sharp stabbing pain that ladies suffering from period cramps may observe. The stabbing period cramps are usually relieved by the release of small blood clots during your menstrual cycle.

Hope this helps ❤️

@Lala87 you sound like me symtom wise the leg pain is awful spotting ect. I was diagnosed not long ago with pcos (which I sort of knew) but scans ect all look perfect! I'm currently waiting for bloods to see if I'm coeliac. like you I thought somthing was up with my womb with the pains, but my drs really adamant it's my bowel causing the pains, etc. I did ask her if it could get worse around this time of month ovulation, and she said it could feel worse. I've always blamed mu hormones for my dodgy belly pains bloating, ect, and now I feel like it could be a whole other thing. Also, untreated coeliac can make it harder to concieve (according to me stalking the internet all night). I've been ttc since Nov 22 and sadly had an ectopic feb 23. I'm not saying you've got that but I never even gave it a second thought till the Dr said xx
