Moving back over from Pregnancy to Conception.

Rather sad. This is first day of moving back from Pregnancy to Conception after having another MC at 8 weeks this time. (15w last time).

Some may remember me testing and giving my test stick as a gift to my Husband on his Birthday on Valentine's Day. I am now looking to buy either a Persona Monitor or Clearblue Monitor.

I just wondered if anyone has any comments about which one is better. I am really desperate to start TTC again.

Hi Twinklewishes

Sorry I don't have any advice on the monitors but just wanted to say hi and how sorry I was for you because I do definitely remember your earlier postings.

I remember your story in particular because it's what I've always wanted to do if I ever get pg - gift wrap the stick as a pressie to DP.

Am so sorry for what has happaned and hope you're switching back to pregnancy threads very soon

Twinklewishes · 31/03/2008 13:22

Thanks. I never actually posted about how I got on, but the day was really lovely as we all cried including my children when I got my husband to unwrap the card I put it in. He actually thought it was a book mark, but was unsure what it was until I told him. We all laughed. It is such a shame.

It appears that this time the pregnancy never developed past the second stage. This is a little different to last time, where it was a developmental issue at 15 weeks.

I am hoping to be pregnant very soon and are already preparing. I have just finished my period, induced by a DC two weeks ago.

Now looking forward to joining all the other TTC'ers

I hope if works for you. I do not live in England and it is so hard to find anything about anything. I know that you can just buy small test sticks, but I just want to be as accurate as possible. I feel like I have been pregnant for ever on and off. I would have been due in 5 weeks as well, so I am feeling very low at the moment. I keep looking around and get so many reminders about what I would feel like now. I am finding it hard to even go shopping.

I think that if I was to get pregnant again very soon, this would be a little easier, something else to focus on.

I am so so sorry Twinklewishes.

I can remember your story as I thought it was so sweet.

I hope you get pg soon and you have another lo.

Twinklewishes · 01/04/2008 10:10

Does anyone know the best place to get a cheap monitor or test sticks.

OP posts:
kayzisbroody · 01/04/2008 10:13

You could try Ebay. I know lots of people on MN get them from there.

Twinklewishes · 01/04/2008 10:19

I am still unsure. I have been looking on there. I was told in my last 4 pregnancies that I conceived between day 14 and 17. Due to the size on first scans. I also know this to be true as well......

Anyway, just to make sure that we maximise our best chances on the day, rather then exhaust ourselves out for a complete week. . I understand that the clearblue just goes a little further than the test strips.

kayzisbroody · 01/04/2008 10:27

Yeah I think it does. I have wondered if I should start using OPK's if I dont get pg this month.

Its only my 2nd month ttc dc2 but I'd like to know dh and I are doing the deed at the right time.

Twinklewishes · 01/04/2008 10:38

It makes me think about quality not quantity

So sorry to hear that Twinkle.

I can completely recommend the clearblue fertlity monitor. it does tellyou when you are about to ov. and also it keeps details of previous cycles as well for a more accurate next cycle.

beaniesteve · 01/04/2008 11:07

So sorry to hear this

I have just started using my Clearblue monitor and I find it easy to use. Just got my first request to pee on a stick today.

I find it really easy to use and I bought my sticks on ebay for £16 which was slightly cheaper than going to boots.

Twinklewishes · 01/04/2008 11:09

Yes I am now looking to buy one. I am looking on ebay. They have gone some. I will decide what I am going to do very soon.

twinkle, if you do buy a second hand clearblue fertility monitor, i can tell you how to reset the unit so that the previous owner's details are deleted.
