Hi ladies,

I just had my peak day so I’m preparing for giving implantation every chance I can. Is there anything that I can eat/take that will promote healthy implantation next few weeks? I’d prefer to get my source of vitamins through food if possible :)

so far I know pineapple is good, what else can I add to the shopping list? I’d love to be able to make sure there’s enough progesterone

I had my peak yesterday, so I am not sure if I ovulated yesterday too or if today. To be safe I’ll say I’m 1dpo tomorrow. :)

So far it seems Brazil nuts are good for implantation specifically. I had an early loss last year and I’m worried if it was progesterone related so looking for foods that would be good for that as well

I read that keeping your feet warm helps blood flow to your uterus, so slippers/socks when at home. Have also read a bit about pomegranate juice being beneficial

I think eating healthy, i.e whole foods with minimal processing, is a healthy approach over a long period of time.

But there's nothing you can eat in the next 2 weeks that is going to affect conception. Good luck

Hey

I just got my BFP this morning! Not sure if any of the things I done this month worked but these are what I did differently.

Drank POM juice every morning (pomegranate juice)
Reduced coffee in take not massively but sometimes had decaf instead of normal
Made sure I ate x3 meals a day. Making sure each meal had a good amount of protien
Had fruit smoothies every day with chia seeds and protein powder in
Ate pineapple some days but not every day
slept with socks on every night
had a hot water bottle on my stomach in the TWW

I wasn’t a 100 percent healthy I still ate chocolate every now and then but I did make a conscious effort to eat proper meals with protein in as I red somewhere protein is really important

Hope this helps xx

I've been recommended the below following a few frozen embryo transfers:

  • Eat more green veg
  • Try to avoid anything cold. So drinks at room temp and try to eat warm things so soup, oats, eggs
  • Bone broth
  • Protein with every meal
  • 3 meals a day
  • 2 litres of water a day
  • Sesame seeds
  • Red dates
  • Herbal teas

Hope this helps. Good luck xx

Hi OP. Good luck.

The month I got pregnant I had made the switch from very clean eating to wholesome stuff like full fat milk, soups with plenty of protein like chicken with veg, wholegrain bread, real butter, nuts and loads of organic peanut butter. Worked for me! I made the switch after reading ‘No period. Now what?’ (I always got my period but suspected it was anovulatory due to exercise and clean eating.) My first cycle after making this change and stopping obsessing over eating ‘well’ I got pregnant. I’d eat antioxidant rich stuff inc dark chocolate even though there are certainly better sources! If I had a salad now and again (I previously ate them all the time!), now it’d be drizzled in lots of olive oil dressings and cheese and carb based like sweet potato. Essentially, I stopped being so restrictive and conscious of what I was eating as I learned plenty of calories are needed for optimum ovulation and implantation etc.

Also, space out your three healthy meals a day and snacks in between. Don’t go hours without nourishing your body with calories and water.

Mich8 · 11/04/2024 14:00

Ooh, loads of eggs too!

SErunner · 11/04/2024 14:02

Eat what you like, it makes zero difference :) good luck!

Thank you so much ladies!!! Keep them coming these are wonderful tips

congrats @Louloubaker !!

i’ve bought a bunch of stuff. I already have a Mediterranean diet so I do like to eat lots of fruit and veg and salad, it’s just good to know which particular ones I should focus on.

so I got some Brazil nuts, bananas, avocados, sunflower seeds, and things for making beef both and other protein rich meals. And lots of pineapple 😂 (apparently that is good for implantation)

I’d still say more good fats OP. 😁

What I learnt reading the book I mentioned above is how important fat is for progesterone (obviously “pro gestation”) which is obviously needed for the embryo and its implantation. It’s great you’ve got the avocado, nuts and seeds and presumably plenty of olive oil though with a Med diet. I used stuff like this with wild abandon the month I conceived. I went “all in” which is a concept in the book to restore fertility.

This. Just be healthy in generally, the egg is getting ready ages before anyway. if it happens it'll happen. and your partner needs to be equally healthy!
