Hi ladies! Anyone TTC and fancy joining me in the TWW? I’m currently 3DPO and hoping for a miracle after a MMC at the end of last year resulting in a D&C. Would be great to chat to anyone crazy symptom spotting right now :-)

Hey! Sorry you went through a mmc as well. It was pretty awful tbh, I had two lots of failed medical management, so it was a very long process. Yes we’re trying for our first, took 2 years to conceive the mmc and I was taking Clomid for unexplained infertility. I’ve started the Clomid again this month so I’m hopeful it will do the trick again 🤞🏻. How about you? Have you been trying for number 2 for long?

Omg thats exactly what happened to me, I had the pessarys twice and they told me I was all clear and it was successful after the 2nd attempt, 2 months later I got a positive preg test thought I was pregnant only to find out I had retained product they hadnt picked up on, it was a rollercoaster. They offerred me a hysteroscopy which from what I experienced is basically a D&C but I was awake. Fingers crossed for you, I hope this is your month. No not long, last month I tracked ovulation but nothing happened so this month ive tried to be more relaxed and just see what happens, not sure how long I will be relaxed though. Ive heard of the clomid but not actually sure what it is for, would you mind explaining?

Barney2009 · 06/04/2024 16:26

Wow how strange! Yeah I had stopped bleeding after the first lot but there was a little bit going on still. Then I had a massive bleed it was very scary, went to a&E and then gynae and they said I had retained product, so I opted for medical again, went back two weeks later and the pills hadn’t touched it so they knocked me out for the d&c. Wish I’d done that in the first place but we live and learn! The clomid is given to induce ovulation, it’s a pretty harsh drug but it definitely works. The risk is you can end up with twins as you can often release more than one egg, but we’re taking our chances! It’s just strange because my tests say everything is normal and yet the only
pregnancy I’ve had is from Clomid. I’m trying to be relaxed but I’m not 😂 I’m 39 so I just really want to get pregnant soon!

So sorry you went through all of that, its so tough! Ahh ok im with you, was it the first time you tried it last you fell? How are you feeling today? Are you symptom spotting yet haha

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 15:08

It was the second round I fell. I didn’t notice much difference around ovulation from the first round, but second round ovulation was quite painful and I’ve had the same pains this time, so I’m hoping it’s a good sign. Of course I’m symptom spotting 🤣 I’m tracking my bbt too and my chart looks quite good so far, but I’m not getting my hopes up just yet. Nipples are sensitive but that’s about it at the moment! How about you?

Ooo fingers crossed this is your month! What are you now 5dpo? When will you hold out to test? Im trying not to symptom spot haha buts its so hard, ive had thick cm the past week or so but I had that last month to and my left boob feels a bit tender to touch. With my first I didnt actually get any symptoms until 5/6 weeks but one of them was the sore boobs which I never have even with AF so always thought if I ever got sore boobs again it could be a sign but also well aware the body likes to play tricks😂

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 15:30

The thick cm is meant to be a good sign isn’t it! I don’t remember having that before I just had very sore boobs. Im 4 or 5 dpo, I have the ovulation pains over two days so im not 100% sure. I’m going to hold out to test for at least another week I think, first time round I waited till I was a week late and got a raging positive, but I don’t think I’ll be able to hold out that long again! When are you planning to test?

OP posts:
CKNP · 07/04/2024 15:59

Yes it can be but also can happen at this point in cycle to so you just never no, I had it last month more watery than thick and wasnt pregnant. Thats good, I think waiting as long as possible the better otherwise you end up driving yourself mad but also very hard to do at the same time haha. I have longer cycles anything from 30-35 days so I tend to ovulate later in my cycle, my app says AF due Weds so will hold out until then (try to) and see what happens😂

CKNP · 07/04/2024 16:02

Pressed send to quick, have you tried the SMEP theory?

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 17:40

Yes I think it’s best to wait longer, let things get settled in haha! My cycles are usually 28 days so I’ve not too long to wait each month which is handy. Are you taking any supplements? Did it take you long to fall with your first? Not tried smep, looked at it this month but my husband isn’t into clock watching with TTC, takes the enjoyment out of it which I do get. If I’m not lucky this month I’ll do it in secret lol. We BD’d CD 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15 this month so I’m hoping we covered it!

Can i join? I'm 3dpo in month 3 of trying for our second. I HATE IT.

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 17:51

Course you can @Choccyegg92 , welcome to the party! You’re around the same time as me, I’m 4/5 dpo, I hate it too. Waiting game sucks doesn’t it!

OP posts:
Choccyegg92 · 07/04/2024 18:00

I think it drives me insane, promise myself i'll just wait and see but it turns out i'm not a wait and see kind of person...

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 18:05

Haha. Did it take you long to conceive your first? Are you temping or just using opks?

OP posts:
RedRobyn2021 · 07/04/2024 18:07

Can I join? I'm 10DPO and have been trying since my CP in August

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 18:18

Welcome @RedRobyn2021 . Sorry about your CP, are you TTC number 1? When do you plan to test?

OP posts:
RedRobyn2021 · 07/04/2024 18:32

@Barney2009 this will be my second, I have a DD who is 3yo, it was not difficult with her and happened first time round so it has been more difficult. I'm about to turn 33 now and always hoped to have 3

Barney2009 · 07/04/2024 18:38

@RedRobyn2021 fingers crossed this will be your month then! Must be hard when it happened so quickly for you first time round, im used to the waiting game, but im
hopeful for this cycle!

@Barney2009 yes I completely agree, just got to resist the temptation haha. I take the feroglobin ones, I read on here before my first someone said to try them. Do you? I was actually really lucky I fell first cycle ttc, was the first time I used opks and we actually did the SMEP to, did not expect it to happen that fast and I know how lucky we was. Sounds like youve covered it, we DTD every other day this month from cycle day 12 trying that approach this time.

@Choccyegg92 @RedRobyn2021 Hey guys, @RedRobyn2021 Sorry to hear about your CP! We must be at a similar stage in our cycle, are you symptom spotting? Anything going on?

RedRobyn2021 · 07/04/2024 19:22

@Barney2009 yes fingers crossed

Is this your first?

I am going to avoid testing, not sure when exactly I'm due as some months it's 25-27 days, so possibly from Tuesday. I am going to wait until after Thursday and if my period hasn't come I will test.

When do you usually test?

RedRobyn2021 · 07/04/2024 19:26

@CKNP

I don't think I've had any symptoms, I did have some light cramping for a couple of days DPO 5&6

I do find I often have these light cramps around a week before I'm due on. Do you ever have that?

Have you had any symptoms?

I was taking pregnacare max but I’ve switched to folic, COq10 and baby aspirin, only been taking the aspirin this month as the fertility specialist told me it helps with implantation to recommended it following my mmc. You were very lucky! I think my
struggle is likely to do with my age but I’ll keep going.

Yes this is our first. DH has 2 girls from a previous relationship but I want us to have our own. I’m not really a tester, my periods are so regular so I only tested when I was a week late as it was so unusual. I’m trying not to get too obsessed but boy it’s hard!!

OP posts:
RedRobyn2021 · 07/04/2024 19:41

@Barney2009 it is hard isn't it. Don't you find planning things through the year difficult?

For example we have booked a few trips and holidays away, I had HG with my first and I expect if I'm pregnant again I won't be up for any of these trips but the money has been spent.

Every time DD outgrows something I think should I keep this just incase or is it just going to be taking up room for years?

We have a small house so constantly trying to stay on top of clutter
