Hi everyone, I just wanted to post to get some support really. I've just had my second chemical pregnancy in 7 months and it's really starting to get me down. It would be so lovely to hear some positive story's or advice. I'm 29 and my partner is 31. I've already cut out alcohol and caffeine and my partner has now agreed to do the same. We're also looking at some more premium supplements to help improve egg and sperm quality. I'm hoping to speak to my GP shortly too but I assume they won't look to do anything for us just yet. My close friend announced her pregnancy just a couple of days after our latest chemical and I'm finding it so so tough. Thanks so much!

@Keeptrying2024 sorry you’re going through a tough time 😔 I have had two losses myself, one was a miscarriage at 8/9 weeks and my second was a chemical so I understand. I’ve just turned 30 for ref and DH is 30, we had a break October - Feb and I have just fallen pregnant again in March.

I invested in the Zita West supplements, taking Folate instead of folic acid, Vital DHA and their NAC supplements. I’ve heard NAC is good for those who suffer from recurrent loss. I also took 600mg CoQ10 daily, alongside high strength vitamin D, C, B6 and selenium. Xx

I had lots and also MC too. I had my thyroid checked and my TSH levels were too high (mine were 8.9 and should be under 2.5 when TTC)

Two months on thyroxine and I’m now 9 weeks.

Agreed with @Jellybelly888 , I went private for some tests after my 2 losses and was found to have a severely underactive thyroid. My TSH was 98.1 and FT4 was 3.81 - basically totally opposite of what they both needed to be. I've been on Thyroxine October 2023 - now and we had a break from TTC until my levels were sorted. TTC since Feb this year and fell pregnant cycle 2!

As @dreammama said about private, it really is the only way to get diagnosed with anything thyroid related with TtC. The GPs don’t have a clue and will tell you anything under TSH10 is normal when actually you can’t technically get pregnant unless it’s under 2.5.

if you can afford it, go for a private fertility consultation with someone who knows what they’re talking about.

Thanks everyone, I find it so overwhelming thinking about all the different reasons why things could be going wrong! I might have a look online at some local private clinics for some initial blood tests. We were looking at doing the Hertility test, but they only seem to test for certain things.

Just reading through this and checked my TSH result from December , I had 2.8 which they said was normal. Would being 2.8 really mean impossible to get pregnant? I had no idea.. wonder if diet can help get it down!

@Keeptrying2024 medichecks are bloods you can do at home with a finger prick for some and are really reasonable.
