Can anyone recommend the best vaginal microbiome test? Also currently taking Pro-Ven Lactobacillus for women, is this the best probiotic or are there better ones? Also probiotic recommendations for men?

Hi @Notsure31 , I’ve heard good things about screenme so have done their full vaginal health test in Feb and waiting on my results. I’ll let you know once I’ve got them.

I was taking a probiotic that got really good reviews on Amazon, however I’ve stopped recently as I thought I don’t want to cause an imbalance if I don’t know what’s going on (or at least that’s my thought process!)

Did you get your test results back yet? I did a daye test and it’s a bit basic…

@keeponplodding7 i did and the results aren’t what would prevent pregnancy/cause miscarriage. Its reassuring to have something ticked off whilst also addressing a candida issue to make sure everything optimal. We’ve since decided to do the male microbiome test too to rule out anything there.

Im leaning towards it being autoimmune factors with me and planning to see a reproductive immunologist, but would definitely recommend the screenme test to rule out infection as it’s reasonably priced in relation to other tests.

if you haven’t already found this there’s a podcast by Hannah Pearn called don’t tell me to relax which I’ve really enjoyed and has given me some ideas of where to look next/lifestyle factors.

good luck x

Just to update I also did a Daye test which showed low lactobacillus but I wanted a more specific break down, so I agree a bit basic. I think I’m going to go with screenme when funds allow for this.

Ive got an nhs gynae appointment in June so im going to mention the low lactobacillus but not hopeful much will come from this, hoping because of my previous endometritis diagnosis I might get taken more seriously but who knows.
