Not had a dye stealer yet - cause for concern?

I am 14 days Post ovulation, and my period would have been due this weekend. It didn't come. I've got positive tests consistently since Saturday but not a "dye stealer" from the clear blues and hardly anything today on one of those clear and simple. I had quite obvious red lines on Boots tests on Saturday. Its got me worried its a chemical pregnancy.

Idk, just wondering if I am worrying unnecessarily (not that there's anything I can do anyway) but also wanting to hear others experiences of tests and "dye stealers" and aw that. Is it necessarily bad news?

Other than Mumsnet I’ve never heard of anyone continually testing, I just thought you get one if two positives you’re pregnant that’s it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t think a dye stealer is a science or they’d tell you to keep testing at the doctors/midwifes. I understand where people are concerned with chemicals but in general I don’t think it’s a thing

@Hanbanan44 Hi! I’m in the same potion, been testing positive since last Tuesday and not seeing much line progression. I’ve had a MC and chemical pregnancies in the past so I followed the advice I was given…my GP told me to do the ‘how many weeks’ tests so see if HCG is progressing. I did one last week and it said 1-2 week and then did one today with says 2-3 weeks. I’ll do the same next Tuesday and hopefully see 3+ which will put my mind at rest. Thought I’d share that with you as seems to be helping my anxiety. Best of luck to you xx

That's helpful, thank you. And you're right, a positive is a positive, I called midwives today and they book you in based on a positive, not how many positives or how dark is the positive line.

This is my first (and is an unexpected pregnancy) so I think the repeated testing was me firstly not believing it, and then it became a bit anxiety inducing in and of itself. Appreciate your level headed response 🙏

Thanks for passing that advice on, that sounds like containing advice from your GP xx
