I'm 29, hubby 36. We've got a child together, they're just over 2, conceived first month. TTC #2 for almost a year, unexplained infertility, had all possible fertility investigations, about to start IUI first cycle. AMH is 11 so not great for my age. I woke up today completely deflated and just feel low all day because I don't know if we'll ever give DC a sibling. Unsure if we will afford IVF, and even if we can afford 1 cycle, will that be enough? I know it's pathetic, I should be happy we've got DC. Any positive stories, statistics or hope to cheer me up?

You are still early on in the process! Time is on your side with your age, even without fertility interventions.
I’m guessing you have accessed these tests privately so far?
AMH only really a useful number if you are doing IVF I think?

@CurlyWurly1991 yes all tests done privately! Thank you ❤️

But you have a housekeeper 5 days a week? Surely if you cut back on that it would free some money up?

You've got this! It takes time....and for many of us it can be a psychologically draining process, let's be honest. That's also why it's important to do your bit of research, explore options and go for something that maximises your chances.

I was lucky enough to do 1 cycle on the NHS which failed, then paid a small fortune to an ivf clinic here in london which also failed. Finally came to realise going for IVF abroad isn't as risky or daunting as it may seem. Took the leap and only wish I'd done it sooner!! Try and see where you can get the best value for money, rather than how much it will 'cost' you. Sending positive vibes your way - feel free to pm me!! xxx

A year is realLy nothing to worry about, hormones can change after a pregnancy. No one can predict if IVF will work, I’d be mindful it’s very time consuming and emotionally intense so consider the impact of that on your existing child.
