Hi,
I got pregnant in October and had a miscarriage in early December (nearly 10 weeks). It wasn’t complete and had to have a MVA 10 days later. I kept testing positive so had a follow up at the EPU on 15 Jan and there was a 2cm piece of tissue left but they said they were not concerned and it could come out with my next period. They also said they could see a ‘dominant follicle’ so I would probably ovulate soon. 18 days (02.02) after the scan, my period started. It started light, got a lot heavier, had 2 days of ‘heavy flow’ then it was just like brown/red when wiping until it disappeared. I did pass some clots during this time too, and had contraction like period pains. It was around 5 days in total. Like a normal period I guess. However, I’m still getting very faint positives and now I’m worried. I would like to try again but not sure if it’s all gone and or if something is wrong. It has been 10 weeks since the miscarriage and 8 weeks since the MVA. I have had a period. Why am I still getting very faint positives? I just want to move on with my life and this is preventing me. It is making me miss my baby (I know it wasn’t a ‘real’ baby to some, but it was so desperately wanted and loved despite the early gestation) Has anyone been through this? What do you think I should do?

I should also add that I have been using ovulation tests to see if I can figure out what is going on with my body. I’ve got two children who were unplanned, so TTC is new territory for me.

I'm sorry this is still on going for you op. And in my opinion, a 10 week loss is very much a real baby.

I'd push to see the team who performed the management and get a rescan. Retained tissue can cause issues and I'd want to be 100% sure everything was clear.

Also ovulating tests do pick up Hcg so that's probably why your LH tests are quite strong
