3 days late and negative tests

I am currently 3 days late and I am never ever late for my period. Have sore boobs, and have had period like cramps for 3/4 days solid now, however no sign of my period. Could I be pregnant? Anyone ever had a missed period and neg tests but ended up being pregnant? No idea what’s happening

It could be that you ovulated a bit later this month and although you've conceived, you're not showing a positive yet. Are you using a frer test? That would be best if possible. You could do another one tomorrow morning (or even Wednesday if you can wait that long!) with fmu.

Or it could be that your period is just late. That's the annoying thing about PMS and pregnancy symptoms being so similar! It's hard to know!

Thank you for replying!! I’ll get myself a frer test tomorrow and test again on Wednesday if my period hasn’t shown by then. This is so unusual for me, I don’t remember the last time I had a late period, usually always start the day before my period is due, like clockwork!

I'm the same. 28 days exactly. But there have definitely been the odd occasions over the years where I've randomly had an early one or a late one. We're not machines so it's possible that things may differ one month just randomly. Hope you get the outcome you want. Keep us posted! Xx

Hey @Berrylady I find when I'm TTC my periods do this occasionally to keep me on my toes 😅 I have however, tested negative and then positive after my period was due and I always cramp pregnant or not pregnant. Hope that helps. Is it your first? X

Hi @Claudiasaz thanks so much for replying, no I already have a 2 year old, and I was very lucky when conceiving her got pregnant on first time of trying, so I was spoilt! AF still not shown this morning, but still however am cramping and does feel like it could come at any time, so I have no idea what’s going on! Xx

@Berrylady I think you forget everything after you have the babies don't you. Wish we wrote it all down the first time 😂

I relate to the easily getting pg before. I had my two easily and sadly lost my third and since then haven't caught yet.

For you it could really go either way still! I'd try and wait it out a bit if you can. Only because if it's too early it could take a few days still? Hope it's positive for you x

Morning! I am in exactly the same boat 3 days late and TTC, did a test last night and was negative but now realising I probably should have done in the morning when hormones are higher! Feeling pregnant but also could be intense period cramps! 🤷‍♀️

Same as you I have a 2 year old and got pregnant straight away last time so this all feels new to me, although we were in lockdown last time so my life is a little more stressful than it was back then!

@MummyNic87 i have everything crossed for you! Our bodies play games on us! Still nothing for me, but the cramps are becoming more intense so just waiting for AF to show!

@Claudiasaz and anyone else who cramps when pregnant too - can you remember when you started cramping? I'm TTC number 2 and currently 4dpo. I'm having cramps and lower back pain already which I normally get this each month with AF so I think I'm probably out. However I did have cramps when we conceived DD and thought AF was coming then too! Although I can't really remember what they were like or when they started! Can you remember when the cramps started for you and did they feel exactly like AF cramps? I'm just desperate to keep some hope! 🤞

@Starrysky812 i don’t ever remember cramping with my first baby, i had the easiest pregnancy all round from start to finish, probably why TTC with number 2 is much harder. I have everything crossed for you 🤞 xxx

@Starrysky812 every time it's been at period time for me so I just assumed period was coming. There really were no symptoms at all. I didn't know I was pg with #3 until later as wasn't TTC and had no symptoms until 6 wks along x

Thank you ladies! I think I'm cramping too early for it to be anything other than AF ☹️ but I will try to keep hopeful. You never know! I'm due AF on 16th Feb so might do a frer on 14th and hope for some happy valentines news ❤️ let's hope it's all our months! Xx

@Claudiasaz @MummyNic87 @Starrysky812 took a test this morning and can see a very very faint line, however worried it might be an evap line? What are you ladies thoughts?? Sorry for TMI but did have a very small amount of pinkish discharge this morning but nothing since!

I honestly never use clearblue. I don’t trust them. Get yourself a boots pink test and test again!

They’re so misleading aren’t they! I’ll grab one this afternoon!

@Berrylady I think it looks like it could be a positive. It's really hard to see though! If you're going to do another today, best to do it after 4 hour hold and try not to drink much in the hours before so that your urine won't be too diluted. When I had my first, I thought I'll test at 6pm so from 2pm no drinks and no pees! Good luck! Everything crossed for you 🤞🥰

That looks like a promising line!
I was 4 days late this month and the only chance was I started taking folic acid. While officially that doesn't affect cycles, there is loads of anecdotal reports of women having longer cycles when starting folic acid so think that has to explain it. Thought I'd mention in case it's relevant for you!

I have had an evaporation line like that to be honest with you. I agree with the others, use a pink test. I hope it is a positive for you 🤞🤞

hopping on this thread. im usually like clockwork and flo is telling me to test today as 1 day late... on day 36 of my cycle... no BFP on a pink boots test this morning :( trying to keep positive ! whats the chances of a positive though?

21st Jan according to flo... I don't track any other way as we are just leaving everything to nature type thing... otherwise I'll get obsessive !!

I totally get this! The best way! I think if you o then, it should show on a test by now but you could have o later that's the only thing. Are there any signs of your period at all?

Do you get the egg whites or any cramps when you o? Maybe jot that down next time if not pregnant this month 🙂 xx

I got 2 faint positives yesterday, but have woken up with bleeding this morning, so looks like it’s another chemical for me. 5 consecutive chemicals now 😭 I get my hopes up every time

@Claudiasaz honestly apart from a higher sex drive I don't notice any other changes! Maybe I'm just not observant enough!! No signs at all of AF. Normally I get aches and pains but nothing. I felt nauseous and super tired and hot flushes (I'm only 30) but that's about it . Don't wanna get my hopes up but its hard!
