Implantation pains every month but not pregnant

We’ve been TTC #2 for 15 cycles now and during several of those cycles (not all – maybe a third?) I’ve had localised pain in my lower pelvis right around 5/6 DPO (ovulation date confirmed by urine tests). I also get pains during ovulation each month, but they’re different, sharper. I’ve had bloods and a womb scan done but everything was normal, so it’s not polyps or cysts. I kind of wonder if each time it’s an embryo trying to implant but failing, though that would beg the question of why, when tests have all come back normal.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

Yes, felt it a couple of times before my first pregnancy, was successful after 8 months of trying.

Then when trying for our second I felt it what seemed like 2 out of every 3 cycles, think my body was bit more aware of things 2nd time. I think that was around 8 months of trying too.

I honestly think it's actually very easy to conceive in those early days just very hard to keep it for whatever reason. It's nerve-wracking but doesn't necessarily mean anythings wrong with you, just that your body is very sensitive to changes.

Could be worth reading up on auto immune responses that could be causing your body to reject implantation. I remember reading something about inflammation response that can affect implantation too, if you're someone who is easily inflamed (like having IBS).

But yes agree with PP, implantation is the hard bit fertilisation is much easier but for many reasons the fertilised egg might not be viable. I've had weird symptoms in the past too where I think it was a similar case (I have high interoception). A lot needs to go right for the egg and sperm to be right for each other. You might just have been unlucky.

Agree with the suggestions from PPs.

It’s also quite likely that the sensations you experience simply isn’t implantation pain.
